The 2025 CSRA College Night event is right around the corner, Thursday, September 11th 5pm-8pm at the Augusta Convention Center in downtown Augusta, GA. The event is for all high school students grades 9-12. Explore over 100 College and Universities; Connect with college representatives throughout the United States; Seniors with a 2.5 GPA or higher may register to win a $1,000.00 scholarship; Attend seminars on SC & GA Financial Aid, Financial Literacy, SRS Apprenticeships; Visit the Career Exploration Center & Counseling Center to help guide your school/career path; and Learn about workforce opportunities at the Savannah River Site.

This year, all of our clubs, teams, and organizations are coming together to plan a large, fall festival community event called Hornet Harvest on October 25th from 4:00pm to 7:00pm at the AHS football stadium. .Entry to the event is free, but we are requesting that people bring canned food items for our It's Spooky to Be Hungry canned food drive or clothing donations to donate to local charities. The event is open to the public and will be a family-friendly fall event for everyone. The primary goal of the Hornet Harvest is to engage the community with the school while providing fundraising opportunities for all AHS clubs, teams, and organizations.

AHS will be holding an Open House on Monday, September 15th from 5:30-7:00 PM. Come out and visit us!

The AHS Book Club will meet on Tuesday, September 9th during Homeroom in the Media Center. All are welcome! Just bring a Sci-Fi book you love and come ready to discuss. Come and learn about Asian American Pacific Islander (AAPI) traditions and culture, traditions and heritage. Join the AAPI Club! Our next meeting will be on Thursday, September 10th at 7:45AM before school in the library. All are welcome!

The German Club is meeting on Tuesday, September 9 directly after school. Please come and join us for loads of food and fun. The German Club will meet in Frau Weeks' classroom C157.

Do you love to dance? Are you interested in being on a competition dance team, performing locally, or joining a dance family? Then you should join the Aiken High School Dance Company! This audition based club is for anyone who loves to dance and perform -- no experience required! You will train weekly in Jazz, Hip Hop and Pom. We will compete against other schools and attend SC Dance Association events. There will be an informational meeting for the AHS Dance Company on Monday, September 14th from 3:30 - 4:00 PM in Ms. Mims' Dance Room, F-9. Homecoming Dance Tickets are $15 and will be on sale from September 8th-12th during all lunches. No tickets will be sold at the door. If you are bringing a student from another school, you will need to get a waiver. You can get a waiver using the QR code on the flyer, in front of Ms. Long's classroom, in the front office, or at the dance ticket sales table.
