We are thrilled to announce an opportunity to help your students take their learning beyond the four walls of our classrooms. In the Spring of 2027, we will be taking an educational tour through England to learn about literature and history in the real world. Join us for Karaoke Night, hosted by the Aiken High Chorus, on Thursday, October 23rd in the Auditorium! This fun-filled event is open to the public, and tickets are available now through GoFan for just $5. All proceeds will directly support the Aiken High School Chorus. Whether you’d like to sing or simply enjoy the show, all performers and guests are welcome!

Please come support the Aiken High vs South Aiken, Battle of the Blood drive. We are competing with South Aiken to get the most blood donations. Help AHS earn bragging rights and a first place trophy for saving the most lives!!!!
Friends and family are welcome to donate- you do not have to be a student! Free socks for all donors! Please fill out your quickpass via the QR code on the day of your donation. Photo IDs are required.
The drive will take place Oct 16th at AHS in the James A Taylor Gym from 9am-2pm.

The German Club is meeting on Tuesday, October 14, directly after the Fall break. We will meet after school in Frau Weeks' classroom C157. Come and help us prepare for the Hornet Harvest.

Join Spanish Club for a Día de los Muertos celebration. We will be doing a variety of Día de los Muertos activities. If you would like to participate in the ofrenda, please bring a photo of a loved one who has passed on. We will be meeting on October 14th after school in C-156 (Ms. Wead's room).

Attention High School Seniors and Parents. Join the financial aid staff from USC Aiken and Aiken Technical College for FAFSA Night on October 28, 2025 from 6:00pm - 7:30pm. This event will be held at Aiken Technical College, Building C-Dale Phelon Tech Center, 1st floor.

Seniors! Wednesday Oct 22 choose your adventure! Job shadowing or College Visit Day! Pick up your job shadowing form from Guidance by September 23 OR pick up your college visit form no later than the 21st of October. Both forms allow an excused absence for that day. Questions? The AIR FORCE STEM EVENT will be held on Oct. 17, Friday! This event will feature a semi truck with interactive simulators for students to see how STEM and the Air Force go together! Students, ask your teachers to sign up to attend, by emailing Mrs. Dorman - ndorman@acpsd.net in Guidance!

This year, all of our clubs, teams, and organizations are coming together to plan a large, fall festival community event called Hornet Harvest on October 25th from 4:00pm to 7:00pm at the AHS football stadium. .Entry to the event is free, but we are requesting that people bring canned food items for our It's Spooky to Be Hungry canned food drive or clothing donations to donate to local charities. The event is open to the public and will be a family-friendly fall event for everyone. The primary goal of the Hornet Harvest is to engage the community with the school while providing fundraising opportunities for all AHS clubs, teams, and organizations.

Dr. Hostetler's class is excited to invite you to their WWII History of Aiken Student Symposium, where they will present their original research through posters and historical artifacts.

Join us as these young researchers bring Aiken’s World War II history to life, exploring how global events touched our local community, from the home front to the battlefields abroad. This showcase highlights months of student inquiry, creativity, and collaboration.

Underclassmen pictures will be made on Monday, October 13 (this is the first day back from Fall Break). Pictures will run from 8:30 to 3:30. More information will be given on Picture Day. Make sure to dress appropriately and look your best!
