We are excited to invite elementary students to participate in our upcoming L.I.T. (Leaders in Training) Program, a fun and engaging summer opportunity designed especially for elementary students!
This FREE week-long program will run from June 2nd through June 6th, 8:30 AM to 1:00 PM each day. Sponsored by Write to Change, Bread Loaf School of English, and Leadership Aiken, the L.I.T. Program focuses on developing literacy, numeracy, and leadership skills — all while having a blast!
Highlights of the week include:
Teen mentorship to guide and inspire young learners
Arts and crafts to encourage creativity
Skill-building activities in reading, math, and leadership
A field trip to the zoo to make learning come alive!

Congratulations to Ms. Frazier, who was recently awarded an Savannah River Nuclear Solutions Innovative Teaching Mini Grant for $500! Ms. Frazier plans to use the grant to purchase premium access to software such as Quizziz and Kahoot to help her classes. Way to go, Ms. Frazier!

Yearbook Distribution Day is May 9th! Yearbooks will be distributed in the James A. Taylor Gym. The schedule is: Seniors - 1st block, Juniors - 2nd block, Sophomores - 3rd block, Freshman - 4th block. Hello parents, there will be a Multilingual Learners 25 - 26 Registrations Night on Thursday, May 8th from 5:00 - 7:00 pm at Aiken High School in the Library. You will be able to register your children for the 2025 - 2026 school year. There will be Spanish speaking interpreters to assist you in registering your children.
Aiken High School’s Educators Rising would like to invite you and your children to enjoy “A Royal Family Ball” in the Aiken High School cafeteria on May 9th from 6PM to 9PM. This event is for families with young children to experience a “prom-like” event, where they get to dress up in fancy clothes, dance to fun music, eat delicious snacks, make crowns, decorate “chalices,” enjoy other activities, and take pictures of the memories!
Tickets are available on GoFan.com see the link and QR Code in the picture. Costs are $5.00 for each child ages 3-years-old to 12-years-old (children 2 + under are free). All children must be accompanied by an adult family member (18-years-old and up). Costs for adult tickets are $10.00.

Rev up your engines and join us for an exciting Car Meet on May 17th from 10 AM to 1 PM at AHS! Whether you’ve got a classic beauty, a sleek contemporary ride, a tricked-out truck, or a powerful motorcycle, we want to see it shine. The entry fee is just $20 per vehicle, and concessions will be available to keep you fueled up while you show off your wheels and check out the competition. Don’t miss this chance to connect with fellow car enthusiasts and put your ride on display! You can pay at the meet in person. All proceeds go to the Aiken High School Track Team.
