Calling all Writers and Artists! We are currently collecting literature and artwork submissions for our literary arts magazine, Kaleidoscope! Writing can be poetry or prose, but needs to be 500 words or less. Works should list the author, a title, and it needs to be typed in 12 point Arial font. Artwork needs to be submitted digitally and should be labeled with name, title of work, and medium used. Submit a clear photo of the artwork, cropped to just show the work. All submissions can be sent to mwells@acpsd.net. You can also bring your work to Mrs. Wells in the library. Deadline to submit all work is March 26th.


Tomorrow, Wednesday, March 5, there is a threat of severe weather with wind gusts in the morning forecasted to exceed 40 mph. This wind speed exceeds the threshold allowed for school buses to be on roadways. This wind event will result in a need to shift to e-learning tomorrow.
Employees should plan to report to their work location on a two-hour delayed start, with no building or office opening before 10 a.m.
Afterschool extracurricular practices, games, and events will continue tomorrow as scheduled. There will be no QuestZone tomorrow.

The Aiken High School Band & Orchestra and the Schofield Middle School Band recently raised $4,910 with their Mattress Sale Fundraiser. The profits were split between the AHS and SMS programs based on their respective students' participation. The money raised will be used to fund instrument repairs, music and equipment purchases, transportation costs, and other expenses related to the groups' various activities. The AHS All Sports Athletic Booster Club needs the community support and participation in the 1st Annual Booster Club Golf Tournament. With your participation in this tournament it will help support our student athletes, athletics department, and help minor upgrades to our athletic facilities. Come and play with us! The Videogame Club meets during Homeroom and Wednesdays after school in room C256. The first two Wednesdays are for campaigns, like Dungeons and Dragons. The last two Wednesdays are video game focused. Bring your favorite board games or card games too! Snacks are usually provided.
