SENIORS AND GRADUATING JUNIORS - There will be a Jostens Senior Premier on August 28th in the auditorium at 9:45am. ALL graduating Juniors and Seniors must attend.


TICKETS ARE LIVE ON GOFAN- Alumni & current students of alumni are welcome to join us for a Legacy Luncheon to honor the traditions of Aiken High School. Tickets include a catered lunch provided by Dukes BBQ, a special presentation & all 74 previous yearbooks to view.


ATHLETIC SECURITY REMINDERS & CLEAR BAG PROCEDURES - To ensure the safety of our athletic events, please be aware of the following:
• ACPSD has a Clear Bag Procedure for athletic events. Please see details at https://www.acpsd.net/page/athletics-security.
• Reentry is not allowed. Should an individual exit a stadium or athletic facility, a new ticket for reentry will be required for reentry.
• These are school-sponsored events; behavioral expectations & the Code of Conduct apply.
• Students in eighth grade and below must be accompanied by an adult age 21 or older.
• High school students must show identification or PowerSchool to verify grade level if unaccompanied by a supervising adult.

Students, are you interested in joining a Bible Study at school? Join one of the Wednesday morning, student-led Bible Study groups. The Girls Bible Study will be held in Mrs. Franklin's room (E-208), and the Guys Bible Study will be held in Mr. Rich's room (C-204). The studies start at 7:40 AM and last until the bell at 8:10. We would love to have you join us!


The AHS Sports Media Team will meet on Monday, Aug. 26th from 3:30-4pm in room C151.

The Wide Area Network (WAN) outage affecting internet access district-wide and phone lines at our school campuses has been fully resolved. Our IT team, in collaboration with our service providers, has successfully restored both our primary and secondary circuits. All systems are now operational, and normal communication channels have been re-established .We appreciate your patience and understanding during this disruption.


Important District-Wide Announcement: Internet and School Phone Outage
We are currently experiencing a Wide Area Network (WAN) outage that is impacting internet access district-wide and phone lines across all our school sites. This disruption appears to be due to a fiber cut on the network, affecting both our primary and secondary circuits.
Please be assured that our IT team is working diligently with service providers to resolve this issue and restore full connectivity as quickly as possible. In the meantime, should you need to reach a school during this outage, please contact our District Office directly at (803) 641-2428.

There will be a meeting on Monday August 19 at 6:00 pm in the AHS Auditorium for all interested parents and students who want to learn more about the Cambridge AICE International Diploma and Cambridge AICE classes. This meeting is primarily for students and parents who are new to AHS, such as ninth graders; however, any parent or student who wants to learn more about what an AICE class is like or how to earn the AICE diploma is welcome to attend.


Save the date for the CSRA College Night - Thursday, September 12th from 5-8PM at the Augusta Convention Center. There will be information on apprenticeships, scholarships and financial aid.
Also, be sure to register for a barcode before the fair at www.StriveFair.com.
During the fair, colleges will scan your barcode to send you more information about their schools. The day after the fair, you will receive a report with information on the colleges with whom you scanned.


Underclassmen Picture Day will be Thursday, August 22nd in the James A. Taylor Gym. We are aware that this is also Adam Sandler Day, but if you don't want to look like Adam in your yearbook photo, please bring an appropriate change of clothes for your pictures. Make up picture day will be October 17th in the Media Center.
