AHS is holding a Freshman IGP Parent Night on Tuesday, September 8th, 6-7PM in the AHS Auditorium. Freshman IGP Parent Night is designed to help parents and guardians prepare for their student’s upcoming Individual Graduation Plan (IGP) conference. During the meeting, the Counseling Department will review graduation requirements, course planning, academic and extracurricular opportunities, and ways students can begin preparing for life after high school. Attending Parent Night will provide families with important general information so that the individual IGP conference can focus more specifically on each student’s goals, interests, and four-year academic plan.

Buddy Club will be selling Chick-fil-A chicken sandwiches for $6 each during all lunch periods outside the cafeteria. Sale dates are August 11, August 25, September 8, September 15, and October 22. Quantities are limited, so get yours while supplies last! Thank you for supporting Buddy Club!

Juniors - The Class of 2028 Ring Ceremony will be on September 22nd at 6:00pm in the Auditorium. All ring fees must be paid in full before the ceremony. If you plan to participate, please email Mrs. Long. Do not interrupt her classes to discuss class rings.

The Guidance Department will take a field trip to the University of South Carolina-Columbia on October 23rd. There is space for 40 students. It is free to attend, but you must sign up. If you would like to attend, reach out to Ms. Hammonds in the guidance office. Permission slips must be turned in by October 16th.

All AHS Band graduates are invited to sit in the stands and play along with the band during the game!
If interested, email Mickey Ratliff, Director of Bands, at mratliff@acpsd.net and provide your name, year graduated, and instrument played (so that music can be prepared).
Kickoff is at 7:30. Meet in the AHS Band Room at 6:30 to receive music and march/ walk into the stadium with the AHS Marching Band!
Please provide your own instrument (except in extreme cases, such as percussion), as supplies of school-owned instruments are extremely limited.
