Tomorrow, Wednesday, March 5, there is a threat of severe weather with wind gusts in the morning forecasted to exceed 40 mph. This wind speed exceeds the threshold allowed for school buses to be on roadways. This wind event will result in a need to shift to e-learning tomorrow.
Employees should plan to report to their work location on a two-hour delayed start, with no building or office opening before 10 a.m.
Afterschool extracurricular practices, games, and events will continue tomorrow as scheduled. There will be no QuestZone tomorrow.
We apologize for the challenges that this will cause our families and appreciate your continued cooperation and support!

March Mathness!
Top 3 students in each grade level with the most growth Feb. 28 - March 28 will win a basket of goodies!

February was a short month packed full of AVID and STEM activities.
A big shout out to the ACPSD Career Center, administrators, Student Ambassadors, and teacher, Mrs. Christie Palladino, for having our AVID 8th graders visit and tour. We had an amazing time learning about all the career opportunities available for our students in high school. AVID students enjoyed a pancake breakfast as part of relational capacity. Thanks to the exploratory teachers for helping and make pancakes and serve them.
STEM students spent the last few days creatively designing bacteria and virus models using playdough. Teachers voted on the best virus models.

African-Americans and Labor was this year's Black History Month theme with a focus on the 100th Anniversary of the Brotherhood of Sleeping Car Porters (BSCP), as depicted in "The 11:59 Reader's Theatre portion of the program. Student participants wowed the audience with their speaking, theatrical, musical, writing, and artistic talents.

We had the pleasure of having Ms. Robin Cantwell, Strategic Client Manager for Kelley Services, as our Principal for a Day, along with Ms. Carla Dupert, JMS Principal.
