AIKEN — The Aiken County Public School District’s superintendent recently spoke about the improvements under consideration for Area 5, where Silver Bluff High School is located.
Dr. Corey Murphy also provided an update on the new Aiken County Career & Technology Center during the Aug. 31 meeting of the Rotary Club of Aiken at Newberry Hall.
Some of the school buildings in Area 5 “are simply beyond a useful life,” Murphy told his audience.
He said the district presented a “master plan” for Area 5 to the Aiken County Board of Education on Aug. 25.
