The Aiken County Public School District is incredibly proud to announce that State Treasurer Curtis Loftis has officially recognized Rosalind Key, Business Education Teacher at Aiken High School, as the Financial Literacy Master Teacher Program's Educator of the Month for May!

A former public servant in state government turned business education teacher, Key has distinguished herself by successfully integrating indispensable money management skills into her computer, marketing, and personal finance classes, ensuring that Aiken's students aren't just learning from a textbook but gaining tools for life. Treasurer Loftis praised Key’s dedication, emphasizing that learning to manage money is a critical tool for young people as they navigate real-world challenges after graduation.

Launched in 2020 through a powerful partnership with Future Scholar and SC Economics, the Financial Literacy Master Teacher Program equips K-12 educators with specialized training to lead financial wellness in schools.

Key has taken this mission to heart, and her passion is changing lives. These essential lessons have created a profound ripple effect that extends far beyond the walls of her classroom, sparking crucial, meaningful financial discussions between students and their families.
