Congratulations to the Aiken High School Marching Band, who earned a Superior rating at the Silver Bluff Silver Invitational this past Saturday! This is the first time since the early 90's that the AHS band has earned a Superior rating!
The band scored an 80.45 to earn the Superior, placed 2nd in Class 3A (outscoring powerhouse Irmo High School!), won the Best Music Caption Award in Class 3A, and placed 5th overall out of 13 bands!
The band will present their show "Blackbird" (based on The Beatles' song) in a Community Performance at 5:30pm this Saturday, 10/18 at the AHS Hagood Stadium! Admission is free, and the program should take no more than 20-30 minutes. Please stop by and show your support as Mr. Ratliff and his band students make the final push towards State Championships on the 25th!
