Happening next week! There will be a Multilingual Learners Registration Night for the 25-26 school year on Thursday, May 8th from 5:00 - 7:00 pm at Aiken High School in the Library. There will be Spanish speaking interpreters to assist you in registering your children.

The Aiken County Chapter of Jack and Jill of America, Inc. and Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc - Omicron Tau Lambda and Sigma Tau Chapter presents the Youth Financial and Leadership Academy. This event will take place at USC Aiken in the Business and Education Building on May 10 from 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM. Lunch will be provided. Planned topics include public speaking, financial literacy, health (physical and mental), and global awareness.

On Wednesday, April 30 at 6:00 p.m., the three Governor's Schools (Arts & Humanities, Agriculture, and Science & Math) will be holding an informational meeting at the USC Aiken - Etherredge Center (340 Scholar Loop, Aiken). Families in attendance will learn more about our high schools and summer camps, and they will have the opportunity to ask questions. If you are interested, please make plans to attend!

ACVA allows students to take initial credit courses virtually during the summer. Regular summer sessions courses are offered over a period of 11 weeks and summer fast-track course are offered over a period of 7 weeks. You must make an appointment with your School Counselor to register for ACVA. Complete a Virtual Course Request Form and your School Counselor will register you. Final exams will be given at the home school, July 9th-10th. There are virtual exam options available at a cost per exam. More info regarding this option TBD.

April is the Month of the Military Child and we are celebrating in Aiken County with a spirit week from April 21-25 to honor these students and families.
Monday: Super Heroes - Military Children have super powers. Dress as your favorite super heroes.
Tuesday: Crazy Camo - Military Children always fit it. Dress in crazy camo.
Wednesday: World Wide Wednesday - Military Children travel to many places. Dress representing a different country.
Thursday: Red, White, and Blue - Military Children are patriotic. Wear read, white, and blue from head to toe.
Friday: Purple Up - Military Children consist of all the colors of the armed forces. Dress in purple.

The SC Governor's School for Science and Mathematics' GoSciTech summer camps are a fantastic way for students to explore their interest in STEM-related fields, and the application for summer camps is now open!
Day camps for rising 6th, 7th, and 8th grade students will be held at technical and community colleges across the state, including Aiken Technical College!
Week-long, residential camps for rising 8th, 9th and 10th grade students will be held on the GSSM campus in Hartsville, SC.
And virtual camps will be offered for rising 6th through rising 10th grade!

On Friday, March 28th, Student Government is holding the annual Volleyball PowderPuff Game. The game will be the first part of 4th Block and the Spring Pep Rally will follow.
