Join us for Aiken County Public School District’s Spring Hiring Event for Teachers and Certified Staff on Saturday, February 1, 2025!
Applicants will have the opportunity for on-site interviews and on the spot job offers! The event will take place at Aiken High School located at 449 Rutland Drive in Aiken, SC from 8 a.m. until noon.
All schools and locations will be represented, and we will be hiring for certified positions to include immediate vacancies and future 2025-26 positions.

Their 2nd Block classes received Chick-fil-a biscuits Thursday morning. A huge thank you to all the classes that participated. Every door looked great and Silver Bluff is now officially in the holiday spirit!

Key Club and NJROTC volunteered at the annual We Care Christmas party where residents enjoyed a pizza dinner, crafts, and a few special visitors.







Coach Clark's Freshmen Success classes have been working hard on community service events. His 3rd Block class chose to read to various classes at Redcliffe Elementary School and had a blast doing so yesterday! This was a student led project and we can't wait to see what else these amazing freshmen will do!

Semester exams for Silver Bluff will take place on Wednesday, December 18th for 1st and 3rd Block and Thursday, December 19th for 2nd and 4th Block. Please refer to the attached schedule for specific times. Students should come prepared for their exams with a fully charged laptop. When planning for holiday travel, please keep in mind that semester exams will not be administered early unless special permission has been granted by the principal. Make-up exams will be administered on Friday, December 20th.

End of Course Exams are just around the corner! Please be sure that you are aware of the exam dates! If your student is enrolled in one or more of these courses this semester, they are expected to take the exam. Students need to be sure to bring their fully charged laptops on testing days!

Silver Bluff Student Government is hosting a movie night on Friday, December 6, 2024, on the football field. Gate opens at 6:00 and the movie begins at 6:30. We will be showing Elf on the Jumbotron. Tickets for SBHS students are $3 and will be sold beginning Monday, December 2, in the commons (mornings only). Band Boosters will be selling concessions.

IMPORTANT INFO FOR FOOTBALL GAME THIS FRIDAY AT HANAHAN:
Admission Tickets are available for sale online at https://www.bcsdschools.net/hhstix. Only SCHSL Passes (pass holder and one guest) will be accepted. No other passes are valid. Children 5 and under are free.
All elementary and middle school attendees are required to be accompanied by an adult (parent/guardian). Elementary and middle school students not accompanied by an adult will be instructed to call someone to come to the event to accompany them or will need to be picked up to leave the event.
All spectators must be seated during the event unless utilizing the concessions and/or restrooms.
The gates will open 45 minutes before kickoff. If spectators leave the stadium for any reason, they may not re-enter under the same admission ticket. Live streaming and drone usage are not permitted without prior permission.
Hanahan High School enforces the Berkeley County School District Clear Bag Policy for all spectators.
Parking is extremely limited on-site. However, side-of-the-road parking is available along Murray Drive and side streets. Please be courteous when parking on side streets and not block driveways. Please look at the map for entry at Hanahan home games.

The application for the 2025 acGATEWAY Summer Arts program is now live on the Gateway webpage of the district website. All students must submit an application to be considered, and an audition is required for all new student applicants.

Due to extensive rainfall that’s flooded, washed out, and led to road closures across our county, Aiken County Public Schools will operate on a two-hour delayed schedule tomorrow, Thursday, November 7. All schools and offices will open on a two-hour delay. Due to the delayed start, only lunch will be served tomorrow in our cafeterias. Students on half-day schedules, including Early Learning Special Education students and others, will not come to school tomorrow as buses will be unable to make mid-day routes. The Aiken County Career Center will not have morning classes. Students will report to their high school on a two-hour delay. Rainfall is expected throughout the night and into tomorrow. Please use extreme caution when traveling to school and work. If you encounter flooded roadways, please turn around. The safety of our students, staff, and families is most important.
