🌈🎨 Kindergarten Color Days Are Here! 🎨🌈

Our Kindergarten Dolphins are getting ready for two weeks of colorful learning and fun! 💙🐬

Each day, students will celebrate a different color by wearing that color to school and enjoying a matching snack. Color Days are a fun, hands-on way for our youngest learners to recognize colors, build vocabulary, and make learning exciting!

📚💙 Building a Classroom Family in Second Grade! 💙📚

Recently, Ms. Beck's second-grade class read the heartwarming story Our Class Is a Family. After reading, students reflected on what makes each of them unique by writing about their personal characteristics, how they can be good friends, and the many ways their classroom is like a family.

Students also learned how to write in their Magical Journals and have been practicing writing journal entries to express their thoughts, ideas, and feelings. Through these activities, they are strengthening their writing skills while building a caring, supportive classroom community.

Our fifth-grade students put their teamwork and language arts skills to work by creating colorful posters featuring the Fifth Grade Rules!

🧮✂️ Hands-On Multiplication Practice in Fourth Grade! ✂️🧮 Students in Mrs. Budreau's fourth-grade class brought math to life by coloring and folding multiplication fortune tellers! Once assembled, they partnered with classmates to practice their multiplication facts using the interactive "fun flaps." This engaging activity encouraged collaboration, reinforced multiplication fluency, and proved that learning math can be both fun and interactive. After reading the book together, students completed engaging activities that helped bring the story to life. The highlight of the day? Everyone got to sample some delicious "Jitter Juice!" 🥤✨ Once the tasting was complete, these young mathematicians put their graphing skills to work by creating a bar graph to show who liked the Jitter Juice and who didn't. It was a fun way to combine reading, math, and a little first-day excitement! Ms. McGurk's third graders put their engineering and problem-solving skills to the test by working together to build the tallest tower using only three materials in just 15 minutes. 🌟 But halfway through the challenge... PLOT TWIST! 🌟 Students had to give up one of their building materials and quickly rethink their plans! With teamwork, communication, perseverance, and lots of creative thinking, they adapted to the challenge and kept building.
