NAUES Families: Advance Notice of SC READY End-of-Year Testing Dates
North Augusta Elementary School would like to provide families with advance notice of the South Carolina End-of-Year SC READY testing dates. State guidelines require schools to inform parents ahead of time so families can be aware of the upcoming assessments and help students prepare.
The SC READY assessments measure student progress in English Language Arts, Mathematics, and Science and help teachers, schools, and the state understand how well students are mastering grade-level standards.
Although testing is still about a month and a half away, we are sharing the schedule now so families can mark their calendars and help ensure students are present and ready on testing days.
SC READY Testing Schedule for Elementary Schools
📅 May 5, 2026 – ELA Writing
📅 May 7, 2026 – ELA Reading Part A
📅 May 8, 2026 – ELA Reading Part B
📅 May 12, 2026 – Math Day 1
📅 May 14, 2026 – Math Day 2
📅 May 19, 2026 – 4th Grade Science
All testing will take place during the regular school day.
As testing approaches, families can support their students by helping them get plenty of rest, eating a healthy breakfast, and arriving at school on time.
We appreciate your support as we work together to help our NAUES Dolphins do their very best! 🐬💙💛

🐬📚 Welcome Back to NAUES, Joscelyn! 💛💙
Mrs. Rutland’s class is excited to welcome a very special Teacher Cadet, Joscelyn, to their classroom! It feels like full circle for Joscelyn, who not too long ago was a student right here at North Augusta Elementary School. Now she’s back, helping inspire and support our young Dolphins as they grow as readers and learners.
During her first week, Joscelyn used her bilingual skills to help Mrs. Rutland read and translate a story that included Spanish, helping students better understand and enjoy the story together.
This week the class celebrated Dr. Seuss, and Joscelyn jumped right in by leading story time and helping students with some of their Dr. Seuss-themed learning projects.
We love seeing former Dolphins return to help the next generation of students learn and grow. Thank you, Joscelyn, for sharing your time, talents, and love of learning with our students! 📚✨

🐬💛 Thank You, Seigler’s Karate Center! 💙🥋
A big thank you to Ms. Kyla from Seigler’s Karate Center in North Augusta for visiting NAUES! She was an amazing and engaging instructor, and our students absolutely loved the experience.
During the session, students learned valuable lessons about how to live an “A+ Life,” how to focus their minds and bodies in class, and the importance of discipline and respect. To top it all off, a few of our Dolphins even had the exciting opportunity to break a board!
Thank you again to Ms. Kyla and Seigler’s Karate Center for sharing your time and talents with our students. We truly appreciate the positive impact you made today!

🐬💛 Good Luck to Our NAUES Special Olympics Athletes! 💙🐬
Today our North Augusta Elementary Dolphins proudly cheered on a very special group of students as they headed off to compete in the Aiken County Special Area 15 Spring Games held at Citizens Park in Aiken.
Before our athletes left for the competition, the entire school lined the hallways with waving hands, cheers, and colorful posters to show our support and send them off with lots of encouragement and Dolphin pride! It was an incredible moment of unity as students and staff came together to celebrate and uplift our amazing athletes.
The Special Area 15 Spring Games is a track and field competition that brings together students from school and community-based programs across Aiken and Edgefield Counties. Our Dolphins were excited to compete, try their best, and most importantly — have fun!
We are so proud of each of our athletes for their courage, determination, and sportsmanship. No matter the outcome, they are all champions in our eyes!
💙 Way to go, Dolphins! 💛

📚🐬💛 NAUES Third Graders Receive Free Books! 💙📖
Today, Thursday, March 5, third-grade students at North Augusta Elementary School enjoyed a very special visit to our Spring Scholastic Book Fair as part of the Diana Floyd “My Own Book” Program.
Through this wonderful literacy initiative, every third grader received a $15 voucher to select a free book to take home and keep. Many students carefully browsed the shelves, and some savvy shoppers were even able to choose more than one book! Students also received a book bag provided by META to carry their new stories home.
This program is made possible through Public Education Partners (PEP) of Aiken County and their generous community sponsors who ensure that every third-grade student in Aiken County can choose a book of their own during their school’s Book Fair.
We are incredibly grateful that NAUES has been selected as a sponsored school for the third year in a row! Opportunities like this help foster a lifelong love of reading and support student success.
💛 Thank you to PEP and the many generous sponsors who made this possible for our students!
