This week, we proudly celebrate our amazing NAUES bus drivers who safely transport our Dolphins to and from school each day!

Our drivers are so much more than transportation providers — they are caring adults who greet students with a smile, ensure their safety, and start and end each school day with kindness and encouragement. Rain or shine, early mornings and busy afternoons, they help keep our school running smoothly.

We are incredibly grateful for their dedication, patience, and commitment to our students and families.

Today, a small but mighty team — our “Fantastic Four” — came together to make a big difference for North Augusta Elementary!
Thanks to their hard work and dedication:
🎨 The front adult restrooms received a fresh coat of paint, completed by Mr. Badillo and Carson Williams from SRMC — the first step in our bathroom refresh project!
🖌️ Mrs. Todd and Mrs. Harris also worked diligently to continue progress on our beautiful cafeteria mural, helping bring color, creativity, and school pride to our space.
We are incredibly grateful for these amazing volunteers who gave their time and talents to make our school brighter, fresher, and more welcoming for our students and staff.
It truly takes a village, and today was a wonderful example of what makes our NAUES Dolphin family so special!

We are excited to announce that the NAUES Spring Scholastic Book Fair will take place in the Library Media Center from February 26 – March 6!

🕘 Book Fair Hours:
Daily | 7:20 AM – 2:00 PM

Students will have the opportunity to shop during their scheduled Media Center activity time, and families are invited to join us for special Lunch With Someone You Love shopping days!

📌 Reminder: If you are unable to attend on your child’s grade-level day, you are welcome to visit and shop any day during the fair.

Our magical little gnomes have been busy traveling through North Augusta Elementary School, and they’ve found some classrooms that truly shine! ✨

Each month, our activity teachers select one class per grade level to receive the Gnome of Goodness Award based on outstanding behavior, respect, responsibility, and leadership during activity classes. These students are showing what it means to be NAUES Dolphins every single day! 💙💛🐬

🎓✨ Future Middle Schoolers in the Making! ✨🎓

It’s that exciting time of year when our fifth graders begin exploring middle school opportunities! Today, we were thrilled to welcome back former NAUES students (Ariana, Grace and Luke)— now 8th graders at North Augusta Middle School — who shared their experiences in the AVID exploratory class, along with their teacher, Crystal Bush.

AVID (Advancement Via Individual Determination) prepares students with academic potential for success in rigorous high school courses and college. AVID students build strong skills in writing, inquiry, collaboration, organization, and reading — tools that support lifelong learning. In fact, over 95% of AVID graduates enroll in four-year colleges or universities, and 89% remain enrolled two years later.

Our students also learned about the many other exciting exploratory classes offered at North Augusta Middle School.

📄 Application packets were provided to interested students and are due Monday, February 9 to Coach Bush.

This innovative program will also be offered at Highland Springs Middle School next year. Families planning to attend there should contact the school directly for details.

If your fifth grader is interested in AVID but did not bring home a packet, please email cbush@acpsd.net
or contact your child’s homeroom teacher so we can make sure they receive one.
