We're having a friendly competition between classes while also helping Golden Harvest Food Bank. Each week we will add up the items sent in to each class. The class with the most will win all the bragging rights and a cauldron full of goodies they can enjoy the following week. This will continue for the entirety of the Spooky to be Hungry collection dates. You can start sending items in as soon as Monday. Please remember NOT to send in expired or perishable items. Items needed are canned fruits and veggies, boxed or bagged cereals, canned pastas and sauces, canned meats, peanut butter and jelly, canned soups, and any shelf stable items.

FALL INTERSESSION CODING CAMP | GRADES 3-5

During Fall Intersession, the week of September 29–October 2, a limited number of spots are available for this year’s Coding Camp for students in grades 3–5.

Coding Camp will be held at Mossy Creek Elementary School, Monday–Thursday, 8:00 a.m.–1:00 p.m. Students will get a fun, hands-on introduction to coding and problem-solving through activities such as Sphero robots, drones, 3D printing, Makey-Makey, and more.

Registration opens Wednesday, September 10, at 4 p.m. for ACPSD elementary students in grades 3-5 and is offered on a first-come, first-served basis. Due to space limitations, only the first 100 students to apply will be accepted. Once the application window opens, parents/guardians can apply by scanning the QR Code or completing the Coding Camp Registration form.

Breakfast and lunch will be provided each day of camp; however, families are responsible for transportation to Mossy Creek Elementary.

For questions, contact Erica Millwood, Teaching and Learning Coordinator, at emillwood@acpsd.net.

We'd like to give a huge thank you to our own, Mrs. Burrell and her husband, for providing an amazing lunch for our entire faculty and staff. Mr. Burrell was at school long before any staff arrival this morning already grilling to make sure everything was done before first lunch. He grilled ribs, chicken, and hamburgers. Everyone was filled and content. Thank you so much! We appreciate you both! ♥️
