Each day this week our students learned our school wide expectations through PBIS rotations. Spending time with your student talking about what is expected at school makes for a great and successful year!

Parents and Guardians,
Tuesday we will begin our fall interim assessments. Grades 1-5 will be taking the i-Ready diagnostic. i-Ready is an adaptive assessment. As students answer correctly, the test gets more difficult. As students answer incorrectly, the test gets easier. The test adapts to find the ability of individual students and targets learning to fill in the gaps. Grades K & 1 will also be administered, one on one, the Fastbridge Reading and Math. Fastbridge is a universal screener that is nationally normed and provides data on student's strengths and weaknesses in these subjects. The Fastbridge screener provide essential data for teachers to provide support and enrichment to students.

From Chief Solomon:
Attention residents, there will be training by law enforcement at Greendale Elementary today from 3pm until around 5pm. Again just a training session so don’t be alarmed by multiple patrol vehicles parked at the school today.

Please make sure your children are registered before July 16th. If you need help, please call or come by the front office. You may also bring your student's school supplies during Meet The Teacher.

Parents and Guardians now is the time to schedule a well-visit or vaccine appointment with your child’s healthcare provider to avoid the back-to-school rush before the 2025-26 school year begins on July 21! The SC Department of Public Health is also offering a vaccine clinic for students in grades 5K–12 on July 8 from 9–11:30 a.m. and 1–3:30 p.m. at the Aiken County Health Department (222 Beaufort Street NE, Aiken). Call (803) 642-7543 to make an appointment and bring vaccination and insurance records; a parent or guardian must accompany children under 16. No-cost vaccines may be available, though administration fees may apply. Don’t forget to submit your child’s updated SC Immunization Certificate to their school and note that all rising 7th graders must have a Tdap booster given at age 10 or older. Contact your child’s healthcare provider or school nurse with any questions and visit acpsd.net/page/nursing-services for more information.
