Today, our Dolphin family was uplifted by a heartfelt act of generosity. Members of Victory Baptist Church—along with a caring NAUES teacher, their family, and friends near and far (even as far as Maryland and Virginia)—came together to bless students in our community with Christmas gifts. 💛✨
This was not part of an organized program, but rather a quiet act of kindness that grew beyond expectations. One conversation sparked a wave of giving, reminding us that compassion doesn’t require recognition—it simply requires heart. 💙🐬

This week in the NAUES Library, our Pre-K, Kindergarten, and First Grade students stepped into the magical world of Gingerbread Baby by Jan Brett! 🍪📚
After enjoying this delightful read-aloud, students worked collaboratively in small groups to design and build a cozy home for their paper gingerbread baby. Using a variety of hands-on materials, they engineered walls, roofs, doors, and decorations — all while imagining, problem-solving, and creating together! 🧱🎨
These kinds of creative, hands-on learning experiences help young learners develop teamwork, communication, fine motor skills, and the ability to think like little engineers. The room was filled with curiosity, excitement, and joyful learning — and Gingerbread Babies everywhere were well taken care of! 🐬💛

🎁✨ The NAUES Santa Shop is OPENING on Monday! ✨🎁
Get ready, Dolphins! Our Santa Shop will be open December 8–12 from 7:30 AM–2:00 PM in Room 4H. This is a wonderful opportunity for students to shop for gifts for the special people in their lives while supporting our school. 💛💙
🛍️ Shopping Details:
• Students will visit the shop during their scheduled activity time in the Media Center.
• With teacher permission, they may also shop at other times during the school day.
• Please remember to send money in a labeled envelope with your child.
• Please help your child fill out the attached gift guide envelope. A PTO volunteer will help your child pick out special gifts based on this guide.
• Parents are welcome to attend and shop with their child.

• Inventory comes from generous donations from local businesses and items purchased by our PTO.
• CASH ONLY!
• All sales are final. No tax is applied.
• Prices range from $0.25 to $15.00.
• PTO volunteers worked hard to prepare an inventory of over 5,000 items so our students have a wide variety of affordable gifts to choose from!

Please join us for an evening filled with Christmas magic and family fun at our annual NAUES Reindeer Games Night on Thursday, December 11, 2025, from 5:00 PM – 7:00 PM!
Students, accompanied by their parents, are invited to visit as many festive event stations as time allows. To be entered for a chance to win a special prize, students must visit and participate in at least three pod stations throughout the night.

Writing Lab Activity Teacher
We are thrilled to honor Mrs. Mindy Aiken as our You Rock Teacher of the Month! Mrs. Aiken serves as our school’s Writing Lab Activity Teacher, and once a week, students eagerly enter her classroom to explore the power of writing under her expert guidance.
Mrs. Aiken brings excitement, creativity, and a deeply student-centered mindset to every lesson she teaches. She designs engaging, purposeful writing experiences that allow students to express themselves while building essential literacy skills. Her projects are hands-on, imaginative, and crafted to help students discover their unique voice as writers.
Beyond the outstanding instruction she provides, Mrs. Aiken is a treasured member of our school community. She is dependable, collaborative, and always willing to lend a helping hand. From stepping in wherever needed to ensuring that major school events—such as Field Day—run smoothly, she works quietly behind the scenes to contribute to the success of the entire school.

Together, we painted cheerful Christmas Snowmen, each one as unique and wonderful as the people who created them. ⛄✨
A huge thank you to Dr. Kimberly Fontanez, Aiken County Instructional Program Support Coordinator, for leading our session with encouragement, inspiration, and holiday cheer.
