🎈💨 Science in Motion! 💨🎈 Mrs. Budreau’s fourth-grade Dolphins put science into action as they explored the connection between energy and speed using balloons! 🐬🔬 Through this hands-on investigation, students observed how changing the amount of energy affected the motion and speed of their balloons. They made predictions, tested their ideas, compared results, and used their observations to better understand how energy can cause objects to move. 🏫 Then it’s time to visit the classrooms! Stop by your child’s classroom, connect with their teacher, and see some of the great learning and accomplishments already happening at NAUE.

🧪🔬 Fifth Grade Scientists at Work! 🔬🧪 Our Fifth Grade Dolphins have been putting science into action! 🐬💙 As students learn about mixtures and solutions and physical and chemical changes, our Fifth Grade Science teachers took learning beyond the textbook with hands-on experiments! Students had the opportunity to mix, observe, investigate, and analyze different substances while determining what happens when materials are combined. They explored how mixtures and solutions are formed and looked for evidence to determine whether changes were physical or chemical. 🥼🧫✨ Hands-on investigations like these encourage students to ask questions, make observations, discuss their thinking, and connect classroom concepts to the world around them. Today was Black & Gray Day, and we couldn't help but smile when Ella and Dr. Doyle showed up twinning in their black and gray outfits! 🖤🩶 It was the perfect way to celebrate another fun day of our Kindergarten Color Days! 🌈 Tomorrow is our grand finale! Be sure to dress like a rainbow by wearing as many colors as you can! We can't wait to see our school filled with bright, colorful outfits as we celebrate the end of this special tradition. A heartfelt THANK YOU to all of our students, families, and staff for joining in each day. Your enthusiasm and participation have helped make learning colors fun, memorable, and exciting for our kindergarten students. We appreciate everyone who helped make Kindergarten Color Days such a colorful success! 💙💛

Learning is right up our alley in Mrs. Avila's second grade class! Our mathematicians had a blast with Bowling Subtraction! Students started with 10 bowling pins, rolled the ball to knock some down, then used the remaining pins to write their own subtraction sentence. Hands-on learning like this makes math fun, engaging, and memorable!

Our North Augusta Elementary Fall Scholastic Book Fair is just around the corner, and we still need amazing parent and family volunteers to help make this exciting event a success!

📏➕ Fifth graders are building strong math skills one number line at a time! 💙

Mrs. Benson's fifth-grade mathematicians put their critical thinking to work as they used number lines to strengthen their understanding of place value and practice rounding decimals to the nearest hundredth.

By visualizing where numbers belong, students are developing confidence, improving precision, and learning strategies they can use to solve more complex math problems. It's always exciting to see our Dolphins thinking deeply, explaining their reasoning, and growing as mathematicians every day!

🍪💙 A Sweet Surprise for National Chocolate Chip Cookie Day! 💙🍪 Today was a little sweeter at North Augusta Elementary! To celebrate National Chocolate Chip Cookie Day, our amazing PTO treated every classroom to delicious cookies. Mrs. Jones' first-grade students were all smiles as they enjoyed their special treat and wanted to send a big THANK YOU to our PTO for making their day extra special! We are so grateful for the love and support our PTO shows our students and staff throughout the year. 🍬➕ Learning is sweeter when it's hands-on! ➕🍬 Ms. Brown's third graders kicked off their multiplication journey with a colorful Skittles activity! Students sorted their candies into equal groups, counted the groups they created, and wrote multiplication equations to match their models. Hands-on learning helps bring math concepts to life while encouraging critical thinking, teamwork, and meaningful math conversations. 🌈🧠 After all of their hard work, students enjoyed a sweet reward by eating their Skittles!
