Today, April 23, 2026, North Augusta Elementary School proudly hosted an incredible Career Fair—and what an amazing success it was! Our school was filled with excitement as our community showed up in a BIG way to support our students.
All students, Kindergarten through 5th grade, had the opportunity to explore a wide variety of careers, ask questions, and learn directly from professionals across our community. Our younger Dolphins (K–2) enjoyed engaging conversations and hands-on experiences, while students in grades 3–5 completed career questionnaires to help them reflect on what they learned and begin thinking about their future goals. 🌟
We are incredibly grateful to our outstanding community partners who generously gave their time to inspire and educate our students:
North Augusta Public Safety, Aiken County Public Safety, KJ Supermarket, Augusta Aviation, Nothing Bundt Cakes, Red Lobster, WJBF’s Brandon Dawson, SRNS (Savannah River Nuclear Solutions), North Augusta Code Enforcement, Aiken County Career Center, Quest Zone, Cold Creek Nursery, Messer Automotive, MeMe’s All Natural, Chick-fil-A, City of North Augusta, South Carolina Department of Natural Resources, South Carolina Department of Public Safety (SCDPS), published author Melissa Clarke, SRP Federal Credit Union, Patterson Signs & Art Sign Company—and even a special visit from a seeing eye dog and handler who shared their important work! 🐕🦺
A very special thank you goes to Ms. Kimberly Brown, our dedicated school counselor, for her outstanding leadership in organizing this meaningful event. We also extend our appreciation to Mrs. Prescott and Officer Moulton for their support in connecting with key community partners, including the City of North Augusta, Chick-fil-A, and North Augusta Public Safety.
This Career Fair was more than just an event—it was an unforgettable learning experience filled with curiosity, inspiration, and fun. Our students walked away with new knowledge, big dreams, and a better understanding of the many possibilities their futures can hold.
Thank you to all of our volunteers and presenters for helping enrich the lives of our Dolphins—we are so grateful for your support! 💫

🍎 Teacher of the Month: Mrs. Monica Lewis
We are thrilled to recognize Mrs. Monica Lewis, one of our outstanding fourth grade teachers, as our April Teacher of the Month!
Although Mrs. Lewis is new to NAUES this year, she brings with her an impressive 34 years of teaching experience—a gift that has already made a tremendous impact on our school community. From the moment she joined our team, she has embraced our students with warmth, enthusiasm, and a deep belief in their potential.
Mrs. Lewis creates a classroom environment where learning comes alive. Through hands-on experiments, engaging activities, and creative projects, she ensures that her students are not only mastering academic content but truly enjoying the process of learning. Her lessons spark curiosity and encourage students to think critically, explore, and grow.
What truly sets Mrs. Lewis apart is her commitment to developing the whole child. She goes beyond academics by teaching valuable life lessons, helping students build confidence, responsibility, and character. With a gentle and caring approach, she prepares her students for success both inside and outside the classroom.
Mrs. Lewis is also known for her positive spirit and willingness to help others. Whether she is mentoring colleagues, supporting students, or bringing laughter into the halls, she does it all with grace, kindness, and style. Her smile is contagious, and her presence makes our school a brighter place.
NAUES is incredibly fortunate to have Mrs. Lewis as part of our Dolphin family. We appreciate you, we celebrate you, and we are so thankful for the difference you make each day!

We are equally excited to honor Mrs. Dianne Rawlins, our April Staff Member of the Month!
With an incredible 29 years of service at North Augusta Elementary School, Mrs. Rawlins is truly a cornerstone of our school community. As a dedicated 4K Teacher Assistant, she plays an essential role in shaping the earliest learning experiences of our youngest Dolphins.
Mrs. Rawlins is often one of the first smiling faces students see each morning, setting a positive tone for the entire day. Her warm and nurturing presence creates a safe and welcoming environment where children feel loved, supported, and ready to learn.
In the classroom, Mrs. Rawlins does it all. She helps guide instruction, supports daily routines, and ensures that everything runs smoothly and on schedule. Her organization, reliability, and attention to detail make her an invaluable part of the PreK team.
But her impact reaches far beyond the 4K classroom. Students across all grade levels know and adore Mrs. Rawlins. She has built lasting relationships over the years, becoming a trusted and familiar face for generations of NAUES students. Many would agree—Mrs. Rawlins is a true treasure!
Her dedication, kindness, and unwavering commitment to our school make her the heart and soul of our PreK program. We are so grateful for the love and care she pours into our students every single day.
