Greendale Families,

Today, your child is bringing home a Book Buddy Lanyard letting you know about a safe and easy way for our school to raise funds for essential tools our students and teachers need to succeed.

The SchoolStore Program is 100% online so there is NO face-to-face selling, handling money, or delivering products. Your participation will take less than 12 minutes, and there are exciting prizes to make it fun for the students. Make sure to check it out! Thank you for supporting our awesome little school!

Greendale Elementary School Families,
It is with deep sadness that we share the passing of our beloved Media Assistant, Ann Poston, who passed away unexpectedly on July 8th. while traveling with family.
Ann was much more than a valued member of our staff—she was a cherished part of the Greendale Elementary family. Whether welcoming students into the media center, volunteering at school events, supporting our staff, or lending a helping hand wherever it was needed, Ann's kindness, generosity, and joyful spirit touched the lives of so many. She had a remarkable way of making every child and every adult feel seen, valued, and loved.
For many years, Ann faithfully served our school community. She was deeply involved in school life, from supporting our Sunshine Club and staff celebrations to volunteering at family events and community outreach efforts. During the COVID-19 pandemic, she even helped deliver meals to children throughout our community. Her servant's heart, unwavering dedication, and love for Greendale will leave a lasting legacy.
As we grieve this tremendous loss, our thoughts and prayers are with Ann's family, especially her daughter, Kristy, who is also a valued member of our Greendale family. We ask that you keep them in your prayers during this difficult time.
Our school counselors and support staff will be available to assist our teachers as they return to campus next week and students as they return as well.
Ann's absence will be deeply felt, but the compassion, laughter, and love she shared with our school community will never be forgotten. She was truly one of a kind!

PALMETTO CIVICS PROJECT AN INITIATIVE OF THE SC DEPARTMENT OF EDUCATION
Families are invited to participate in Summer SC 250 activities as South Carolina prepares to commemorate the 250th anniversary of the American Revolution and our state’s important role in our nation’s history. These summer activities provide meaningful opportunities for students and families to learn, explore, and connect with local and state history. Take part and help celebrate South Carolina’s rich history, heritage, and contributions to our country.

The Palmetto Civics Project is a resource-rich initiative designed to foster students’ understanding of and respect for the institutions that sustain our civic life. Our goal is simple but profound: every South Carolina graduate will leave school prepared to embrace the privileges and the responsibilities of American citizenship.

Graduation week is here, and we can’t wait to celebrate the Class of 2026 at their commencement ceremonies being held at USC Aiken's Convocation Center!

To help graduation attendees enjoy a smooth, stress-free day, please remember that there will be metal detection upon arrival.
