CLASS OF 2025 VALEDICTORIAN/SALUTATORIAN PROFILES Midland Valley High School Salutatorian: Lawrence Zander Valdez Lawrence Valdez, Salutatorian of the Midland Valley High School Class of 2025, plans to attend the Georgia Institute of Technology to study Mechanical Engineering. Drawn to the thrill of discovery and the power of innovation, Lawrence looks forward to a future where he can explore, build, and one day share his knowledge with others. “I want to be a master of many things and eventually take my accumulation of knowledge and pass it on to others—those like me, or just those who are curious and could use it.” A curious mind from an early age, Lawrence has always been fascinated by the outdoors, hands-on learning, and the thrill of the unknown. Whether it's imagining building his own plane, car, or home, he is energized by possibility and the tools to make ideas real. Alongside his twin brother Logan, Lawrence is proud to celebrate their shared achievement as Valedictorian and Salutatorian—an accomplishment rooted in family, faith, and dedication. “Without God, I’m not sure where I’d be. Every good gift comes from Him, and without a doubt, I am blessed.” One of Lawrence’s favorite high school memories was Senior Sunset—a relaxed evening of games, food, and community that brought together classmates, teachers, and underclassmen in celebration. As a member of Student Council, Lawrence helped plan and facilitate events like this, making the memory even more meaningful. “My brother and I once helped out at this event as underclassmen, waving goodbye to seniors—and now it’s our turn to be the 'big kids' saying goodbye.” Congratulations, Lawrence! #ACPSDcelebrates #ClassOf2025

CLASS OF 2025 VALEDICTORIAN/SALUTATORIAN PROFILES Midland Valley High School Valedictorian: Logan Curtis Valdez Logan Valdez, Valedictorian of the Midland Valley High School Class of 2025, plans to attend the Georgia Institute of Technology to major in Mechanical Engineering. A hands-on learner with a passion for problem-solving, Logan is excited to pursue a path that challenges both his creativity and intellect. Growing up with a twin brother, Lawrence—his fellow academic honoree—has been one of the most defining parts of Logan’s life. “Even in the rough parts of life, I've never had to experience it alone. I’ve always had a buddy there who understands it all—and over the years, it’s become something I truly appreciate.” Logan’s high school years were filled with growth and connection. As a member of Student Council, he played a role in organizing school events and building community among his peers. One of his favorite high school memories was a dinner with his Early College cohort: “It gave us a chance to step outside our usual circles and really connect. I found myself talking with classmates I’d barely spoken to before—laughing, swapping stories, and realizing how much more there was to each of them beyond just the classroom. It was refreshing and eye-opening.” Logan is proud to share this academic milestone with his brother, and looks forward to continuing their journey side by side at Georgia Tech. Congratulations, Logan! #ACPSDcelebrates #ClassOf2025
