Mrs. Hoffmann's annual giant map day arrived early! These maps are borrowed from the SC Geographic Alliance and it's always so fun to have our students explore the world in a more hands-on way. This year, we used longitude and latitude coordinates to locate cities and important locations in North America. This is the third year of using the giant maps, and it's always one of the highlights of the year for myself and the students.

Who knew BUTTER could make math this much fun?! 🧈😂
Our 6th grade mathematicians took on the Butter Squishy Surface Area Challenge! Students created a net of a rectangular prism and used it to calculate surface area—turning a math concept into a hands-on challenge they could actually see, build, and touch! 📏✨
