St. Patrick’s Day brought a little extra magic and a lot of learning to North Augusta Elementary today! Our Dolphins enjoyed a day full of creativity, problem-solving, and festive fun across the building.
Students explored their imaginations by writing stories about following the rainbow to find a pot of gold, while others put their engineering skills to the test by designing clever leprechaun traps to try and catch the mischievous visitors. In math, students used Lucky Charms cereal to create graphs and analyze data, turning a sweet treat into a hands-on learning experience.
Of course, the day wouldn’t be complete without a little mischief! Many classes discovered that sneaky (and slightly destructive!) leprechauns had visited overnight, leaving behind clues, surprises, and plenty of giggles throughout the school.
It was a day filled with laughter, creativity, and meaningful learning experiences for our students. At NAUES, we truly feel lucky to learn and grow together! 💛🐬🍀

Mr. Badillo, we hope the students of North Augusta Elementary never stop chasing rainbows on their way to finding their pot of gold!
Today our school was full of St. Patrick’s Day fun, laughter, and maybe just a little bit of leprechaun mischief. One sneaky leprechaun decided to spread some extra joy around the building by handing out coloring sheets of Mr. Badillo as a leprechaun!
We’re not saying Mr. Badillo has a pot of gold hidden somewhere in the school… but if anyone finds it, please report directly to the library! 😉
Happy St. Patrick’s Day from our lucky Dolphins! 💛🐬🍀

Third-grade students in Ms. McGurk’s math class recently worked in small groups to explore the different types of United States coins. Students learned what coins are made of, how much each coin is worth, and discovered the people and symbols featured on them.
Students also learned about decimals and why they are important when working with money.
Working together, the students created poster projects to share what they learned. Their teamwork and creativity helped bring their discoveries to life!
Great job, Dolphins! 🐬

In collaboration with local emergency management authorities, District leaders have been closely monitoring the severe weather forecasted for Aiken County tomorrow. Hail, damaging winds, and isolated tornadoes are possible. Wind gusts of 60-75 mph are forecasted, which exceeds state regulations for the safe operation of school buses.
In abundance of caution and with safety at the forefront, tomorrow, Monday, March 16, will be an e-learning day for students and a remote work day for employees. Additional information on e-learning can be found under the Academics tab on your school's website.
Students who are able to complete e-learning assignments tomorrow are encouraged to do so. Students who do not have a device, reliable internet, or who are without power due to tomorrow's storm will have ample time to complete the e-learning work. Assignments will not be due until March 27th.
Thank you for your patience and cooperation. Please remain alert for any emergency weather related precautions that may be recommended to keep your family safe with tomorrow's storms.

Congratulations to our First Grade Leader Loot winners this week! These outstanding Dolphins are being recognized for demonstrating leadership, responsibility, and positive habits throughout the school day. We are so proud of the great choices they make each day!

Mrs. Rutland’s class is excited to welcome a very special Teacher Cadet, Joscelyn, to their classroom! It feels like full circle for Joscelyn, who not too long ago was a student right here at North Augusta Elementary School. Now she’s back, helping inspire and support our young Dolphins as they grow as readers and learners.
During her first week, Joscelyn used her bilingual skills to help Mrs. Rutland read and translate a story that included Spanish, helping students better understand and enjoy the story together.
This week the class celebrated Dr. Seuss, and Joscelyn jumped right in by leading story time and helping students with some of their Dr. Seuss-themed learning projects.
We love seeing former Dolphins return to help the next generation of students learn and grow. Thank you, Joscelyn, for sharing your time, talents, and love of learning with our students! 📚✨
