🐬👟 Dolphin Dash Shout-Out! 👟🐬 We want to give a HUGE thank you to these amazing PTO volunteers (pictured below) who helped make Dolphin Dash Running Club a success! 💙👏 After every practice, they carefully tracked each student’s mileage and made sure runners were rewarded with wristbands for every 5 miles completed. 🚀✨ Hands-on Learning in Kindergarten! ✨🚀 Today at North Augusta Elementary, our curious kindergarten scientists explored the exciting concept of motion by building and testing their very own catapults! 🛠️🎯 Through this fun, hands-on activity, students learned how pushes and pulls can change the direction and speed of an object. They experimented with launching different items, predicted outcomes, and observed how force and motion work in real life! 🧠🔍 This engaging lesson supports the South Carolina Kindergarten Science Standards, including: 📘 Standard K.P.4: The student will demonstrate an understanding of the effects of pushes and pulls on the motion of an object. K.P.4A.1: Identify the effects of pushing and pulling on the motion of an object. K.P.4A.2: Conduct structured investigations to determine how the motion of an object changes with a push or pull.
