Her unwavering dedication to the well-being of our students, combined with her incredible organizational skills, make her an invaluable resource for our team. 🏃‍♂️ Dolphin Dash Running Club Kicks Off! 🏃‍♀️ We had a blast on our first day of practice for the Dolphin Dash Running Club on Tuesday, March 18th! 🎉 A huge thank you to everyone who helped get the season started and to those who came out to support our students! 🙏 Let’s keep the momentum going! Encourage our runners as they begin earning wristbands for their mileage! 🏅 We still need volunteers! If you’re interested in helping, please contact the front office. The program runs on Tuesdays and Thursdays before school, March 18th through May 8th. ✨🍀 First Graders Take on the Challenge! 🍀✨ Mrs. Maikranz's First Grade class at North Augusta Elementary proudly presented their Leprechaun Traps just in time for St. Patrick's Day! These fun creations also connect to South Carolina educational standards. 🦜 Science Skills: Students explored engineering design by brainstorming, planning, and building their traps, aligning with Science and Engineering Practices (SEPs). 🔢 Math Skills: Measuring materials and understanding shapes tied into Measurement and Data standards. 📖 ELA Skills: Students practiced explaining their designs, enhancing Speaking and Listening skills. This hands-on project fostered creativity, critical thinking, and collaboration. Great job, Mrs. Maikranz's class! Well... guess what? 🦜 A leprechaun came to visit! This morning, the students arrived to find their room in a mess—proof that the sneaky leprechaun had been there! 🌟🪩 Learning is Sweet at North Augusta Elementary! 🪩🌟 Our amazing fifth-grade students from Mrs. Benson's and Mrs. Pope's classes had a deliciously fun time exploring the phases of the moon using Oreos! 🌌🧁 As part of the South Carolina Fifth Grade Science Standard for Earth and Space Science, students discovered how the moon's appearance changes as it orbits Earth. Using Oreo cookies, they carefully carved out the cream filling to represent each phase — from the New Moon to the Full Moon and everything in between! 🌍 This hands-on (and tasty!) activity helped students visualize concepts like waxing, waning, crescent, and gibbous phases in an engaging and memorable way. 📚 Science + Snacks = Learning at its Best! 📚 We are so proud of our young astronomers for their creativity and teamwork. We’re excited to announce our Sunglass Drive to collect children’s sunglasses for kids in Bolivia.
