Congratulations to our April Teacher of the Month, Coach Jackson, and our April Staff Member of the Month, Ms. Perry! Coach Jackson always brings a smile to our faces and helps us see the bright side of things. His positive attitude and steady presence make a difference in our school each day, and we are grateful for the encouragement and energy he brings to NEMS. Ms. Perry is always willing to jump in and help wherever she is needed. Her support, flexibility, and care for our school community do not go unnoticed. We are also excited to share that Ms. Perry will be joining us in the front office next year as our Student Information Clerk, and she will be one of the friendly faces reaching out to families about attendance and registration. Congratulations, Coach Jackson and Ms. Perry!

We enjoyed welcoming our rising 6th graders to NEMS! Students had the opportunity to meet key staff members, watch a “day in the life” video created by our current 6th grade students, and learn more about what a typical day in middle school looks like. They also visited band class with our current 6th grade students, heard a few musical selections from our band students, and participated in an art lesson led with support from our Art 1 students. We appreciated their thoughtful questions and excitement as they learned more about middle school. We look forward to welcoming them as Wolverines for the 2026–2027 school year! 💚💛🐾

Congratulations to our Book Fair Raffle winner, Cameron Arnold! 🎉
Thank you for joining us for STEAM Night and stopping by the Book Fair. Cameron made a great choice with the invisible ink pen — it’s almost as popular as those pointer finger wands! 👉👇👈👆

Our NEMS students were geared up and ready for All County Band this morning! We are so excited to see them take the stage tonight at Aiken High School! Play great Wolverines!

Slow it down, Ja’Mez! SRO Nelson is going to run out of tickets if you keep speeding through these hallways! 🏎️💨
We appreciate all Cpl. Nelson does to keep us safe, build positive relationships with our students, and bring a little fun to the school day. Whether he’s keeping an eye on the halls or issuing “speeding tickets” for knee scooters, he is always looking out for our Wolverine family.
Thanks for keeping us smiling and safe, Cpl. Nelson! And, thanks to Ja'Mez for keeping us laughing, here's to a speedy recovery 💚
