FALL INTERSESSION CODING CAMP | GRADES 3-5
During Fall Intersession, the week of September 29–October 2, a limited number of spots are available for this year’s Coding Camp for students in grades 3–5.
Coding Camp will be held at Mossy Creek Elementary School, Monday–Thursday, 8:00 a.m.–1:00 p.m. Students will get a fun, hands-on introduction to coding and problem-solving through activities such as Sphero robots, drones, 3D printing, Makey-Makey, and more.
Registration opens Wednesday, September 10, at 4 p.m. for ACPSD elementary students in grades 3-5 and is offered on a first-come, first-served basis. Due to space limitations, only the first 100 students to apply will be accepted. Once the application window opens, parents/guardians can apply by scanning the QR Code or completing the Coding Camp Registration form.
Breakfast and lunch will be provided each day of camp; however, families are responsible for transportation to Mossy Creek Elementary.
For questions, contact Erica Millwood, Teaching and Learning Coordinator, at emillwood@acpsd.net.

School resumes Tuesday, September 2, 2025.

Today, Emma and Chloe, two talented Teacher Cadets from North Augusta High School, spent time in Mrs. Rutland’s first-grade classroom, helping students and learning firsthand what it takes to be an amazing teacher.
Teacher Cadets are high school students who are exploring the teaching profession—they get hands-on experience in classrooms, learning about lesson planning, student engagement, and classroom management. Emma and Chloe had the opportunity to assist with activities, observe teaching strategies, and gain insight into the rewarding work of educators.
A huge thank you to Mrs. Rutland, one of our very best, for guiding our future teachers and showing them what it truly means to inspire young learners! 💛💙

Ms. Smith’s 2nd graders made math colorful today by practicing arrays and repeated addition using Froot Loops! 🌈 Students explored how grouping objects can help them understand multiplication concepts in a hands-on (and tasty!) way. 🐬💛💙
📘 SC Math Standard 2.ATO.4: “Use repeated addition to find the total number of objects arranged in rectangular arrays with up to 5 rows and up to 5 columns.”
Way to go, 2nd grade leaders — turning learning into something sweet! ✨

Our amazing principal, Mr. Badillo, makes sure every day at NAUES starts on a positive note! From checking in with teachers, sharing his “Dad Joke of the Day,” or playing upbeat music in the mornings, he brings energy, laughter, and joy to our school. 💛💙
Today alone, he was spotted encouraging students, offering support, and spreading kindness — all with his signature smile. It’s no wonder our hallways feel brighter and more inviting when he’s around. 🌟
Thank you, Mr. Badillo, for making NAUES a happier place to learn and lead! 🐬✨
