💛💙 ALL PRO DADS – November Meeting! 💙💛
📅 Thursday, November 20th
⏰ 7:45 AM
📍 North Augusta Elementary School

We invite all dads, uncles, grandfathers, and father figures to join us for this month’s All Pro Dads meeting! November’s topic is CONFIDENCE, and we can’t wait to spend this meaningful morning together. 🐬✨

💬 What is Confidence?
Confidence is believing in yourself and your abilities, even when something feels new or challenging. It helps students try their best, take healthy risks, and bounce back when things don’t go as planned.

🌟 Why Confidence Matters for Students:

Builds resilience and a positive mindset

Encourages participation, leadership, and problem-solving

Strengthens social skills and empowers students to speak up

Helps students set goals and persevere through difficult tasks

👨‍👧‍👦 How We Can Help Build Confidence:

Celebrate effort, not just the outcome

Encourage children to try new things

Model positive self-talk (“I can do hard things!”)

Listen, support, and cheer them on

Remind students that mistakes are part of learning

Join us for a doughnut, connection, and a powerful conversation that will help our students grow into confident leaders each day! 💛🐬💙
We hope to see you there!

💛 World Kindness Day is Thursday, November 13th🌍✨

North Augusta Elementary will join people around the globe in celebrating World Kindness Day — a day dedicated to encouraging simple acts of compassion, empathy, and positivity. Even the smallest gestures can make a BIG difference in our school, our homes, and our community! 🐬💙

What is World Kindness Day?
World Kindness Day is an international celebration reminding us to be intentional about spreading kindness. It’s all about encouraging others, helping when we can, and lifting each other up through positive actions and words. Kindness inspires connection — and connection strengthens our Dolphin family! 💛

How Parents & Teachers Can Help Students Celebrate:
🌟 Model Kindness — Let children see acts of patience, gratitude, and compassion in action.
🌟 Encourage Small Acts — Hold the door, share a compliment, help a classmate, or include someone new at playtime.
🌟 Talk About Empathy — Ask questions like “How can we make someone’s day better?” or “How would this act make you feel?”
🌟 Write a Kind Note — Send a positive message to a teacher, friend, staff member, or family member.
🌟 Celebrate Acts of Kindness at Home — Recognize when your child shows kindness, no matter how small.

Let’s work together to make kindness a daily habit — every day. When our students learn that kindness is powerful, they become leaders who make the world a better place. 💛💙🐬

🐬📚 Today in Ms. Neely’s 1st grade class, our young engineers and future innovators had a blast building turkey “cages” using toothpicks and mini marshmallows alongside our eager teacher cadet! They explored problem-solving, teamwork, and STEM-thinking as they experimented with structure, stability, and design.

📸 We’re so proud of our 1st graders for diving into hands-on STEM and showing that curiosity, creativity, and collaboration can lead to our own innovative solutions! 🙌

🌦️❄️ A “Weather-FULL” Day for NAUES Second Grade! ❄️🌦️

Our second graders had an amazing time today staying warm inside on this brisk cold day while learning all about weather with Meteorologist Avery Gray from WJBF News Channel 6! 📺🌪️💨

Students were fully engaged as Ms. Gray explained:
✅ Weather patterns and how they form
✅ Wind and temperature changes
✅ Severe weather—especially tornadoes
✅ How meteorologists read and interpret weather maps
✅ The tools and technology used to predict storms and keep communities safe

Our students even had the chance to interact with real weather maps and experience what it’s like to stand in front of a forecast screen—so exciting! 🌈🗺️

A huge THANK YOU to Meteorologist Avery Gray for taking the time to visit our school, share her expertise, and inspire our young learners. We are so grateful for community partners who help bring real-world science into our classrooms. Who knows… today’s lesson may have sparked the next generation of future meteorologists right here at NAUES! 💛💙🐬🌦️

🇺🇸 Honoring Our Heroes in Kindergarten! 🇺🇸
Today, Dr. Moore’s Kindergarten students had a very special visitor—Retired Chief Petty Officer Mike Haggerty of the United States Navy!

Chief Haggerty shared what it means to be a Veteran and helped our youngest Dolphins learn about the different branches of the U.S. military in a way that was meaningful, engaging, and full of pride for our country.

Chief Haggerty served faithfully and bravely as a Chief Cryptologic Technician from March 2005 to March 2025. During his 20 years of service, he flew combat support missions on EP-3E aircraft, completed deployments on submarines, and served in Europe, the Middle East, and Asia—protecting our nation with honor, courage, and commitment.

Our students were truly honored to learn from someone who has dedicated so much to keeping our country safe. Hearing his real-life experiences made Veterans Day come alive in such a powerful and memorable way.

💛💙 Thank you, Chief Haggerty, for your service, your sacrifice, and for taking the time to inspire our Dolphins today. We are deeply grateful.

Bolivian Sunglass Drive Update!

Last year, Mrs. Moore’s 5th grade class led a Bolivian Sunglass Drive, collecting sunglasses for the Medical Mission team from Grace United Methodist Church.

This summer, those sunglasses made their journey all the way to Bolivia, where — thanks to the incredible generosity of our school family — the team was able to provide every patient, young and old, with a pair of sunglasses to help protect their eyes from the extreme UV rays and dusty conditions.

The mission team and the people of Bolivia were deeply grateful for your kindness and support.
Thank you for showing that even small acts of giving can make a big difference around the world!

🌟 NAUES Serve Day Success! 🌟
This morning, BIG things happened—and our school is brighter because of it! 💛💙🐬

A huge thank you to our principal, Mr. Badillo, for his unwavering dedication to improving our school. Today, he and Mrs. Morin, our School Librarian, added a beautiful splash of color to the NAUES Library by painting the center columns. Little by little, our library is transforming into an even more welcoming and vibrant place for students to learn, read, and explore! 🎨📚✨

We also want to extend a tremendous shout-out to Ms. Rogers, who brought two of her children to help paint and touch up the cafeteria doorways and hallway areas. Their hard work made a visible difference—and showed what teamwork and service truly look like! 💪🎨

Days like today remind us that small groups can create BIG impacts.

💛 We hope YOU will join us for the next Serve Day!
Whether you paint, clean, organize, or simply lend a hand, every act of service brings us one step closer to building the warm, beautiful, student-centered school environment our Dolphins deserve.

Together, we can continue to make NAUES shine! 🌟🐬💛
