Mrs. Bensonâs small group reading class took learning outside for an exciting game of Trash-Ball! đđ
Students practiced their understanding of affixes by answering questionsâand if they got it right, they earned the chance to shoot their answer into the basket! đŻ What a fun way to build skills while adding movement and friendly competition.
Hands-on activities like this help reinforce learning, boost engagement, and make lessons memorable for our Dolphins! đŹâ¨

Our first grade students had an amazing time on their field trip to Chuck E. Cheese today! đ

Topic: Friendliness đ¤
What is Friendliness?
Friendliness means being kind, welcoming, and respectful to others through your words and actions. It includes smiling, including others, using kind words, and showing empathy.
Why is Friendliness Important?
Friendliness helps build strong relationships and a positive school environment. Students who practice friendliness are more likely to feel connected, confident, and supported. It also encourages teamwork, reduces conflict, and helps create a culture where everyone feels valued and included.
How Can Parents & Teachers Help?
đĄ Model Kind Behavior
Children learn by watching adults. Use polite words, show respect, and demonstrate kindness in everyday interactions.
đĄ Encourage Inclusion
Remind students to invite others to join games or activities and to be mindful of classmates who may feel left out.
đĄ Practice Kind Words
Teach and reinforce using phrases like âplease,â âthank you,â and âyou can play with us.â
đĄ Recognize Friendly Actions
Celebrate when students show kindness or go out of their way to help others.
đĄ Talk About Feelings
Help children understand how their actions affect others and encourage empathy.
We look forward to seeing our amazing dads and students as we grow together in leadership and character! đŤđŹ
