In a short video released by the district, Superintendent Dr. Corey Murphy provides detailed information on the new state-required Personal Electronic Devices policy that will be implemented as student’s return from Winter Break in January.
Aiken County’s policy will allow middle and high school students to bring cell phones and other personal electronic devices , and accessories such as earbuds and AirPods to school, but they must remain powered off, stored in the student’s backpack or bag, and out of sight during the school day.
Progressive discipline measures will be enforced for violations of the policy. Parents are encouraged to watch this video with their student and discuss the policy and the consequences for students who are in violation. We thank you in advance for your understanding and support!

Congratulations to our LBC girls basketball team. The Lady Lions beat Schofield last night 33-23.

Twenty LBC students used their good behavior points to purchase a seat at the Ornament Decorating Party. Thank you to PTO and Mrs. Freeman for sponsoring this event.

All our thanks to LBC PTO for providing us with a Christmas party at Old McDonald's Fish Camp. The food was delicious and we all had a lovely time.

Our Lions were dressed for success today. Good luck tonight boys as you play Leavelle at this season opener.

Ms. Butler commended her outstanding tutoring students with a celebration last week. Thank you to PTO for providing the food.

I am so grateful to the students and staff at LBC. We wrapped up our Canned Food Drive with 700 food items donated by our wonderfully generous Lions family. Then Officer Titus, Coach Moore, Coach Bachman and her girls helped us load everything in the rain. Thank you to Ms. Joely Leguizamon at Our Lady of the Valley Catholic Church for the selfless work her and her staff do to make sure the less fortunate in our community have food for the holidays and every day. Happy Thanksgiving to all!

Only 1 week left to bring in those canned, boxed, and bagged food items. Please help us feed the needy this Thanksgiving. If we all just brought in 1 can, think how many mouths we could feed. All items need to be delivered to your child's advisory class by 8:00 am Nov. 26, 2024.

We continue celebrating our wonderful Teacher of the Year and GEM of the Year.
