Dear LBC Middle School Families,

As part of Aiken County Public Schools’ district-wide safety initiative, all students are required to wear school-issued ID badges during the school day. Wearing IDs helps us ensure that everyone on campus is accounted for and authorized to be here, enhancing the safety and security of our school community. LBC Middle School students have received their badges and will leave them at school to prevent loss and damage.

In addition, walker passes will be required to be shown every day. Walker passes ensure the safety for all students who walk home. Students who do not have a pass will be subject to fees for temporary passes. These fees will be added to their PowerSchool account. Continued losses of walker passes may result in the walker privilege being removed. The fee schedule will begin on August 18, 2025.

Here is what families need to know:

·         ID badges and Walker Passes  must be worn and used daily during school hours.

·         Replacement badges and Walker Pass books will cost $5 if lost.

·         Temporary IDs and Walker Passes will be available each day for $1.

·         Parents will be notified once a student’s ID-related charges reach $10.

·         Student accounts will be billed every quarter for any outstanding fines.

We appreciate your partnership in supporting this important safety measure. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact our front office. Together, we can ensure LBC Middle remains a safe and welcoming place for all students.

Sincerely,

Dr. Brice Laughter
