Current 7th - and 8th-grade Schofield students are invited to apply for AVID for the 2nd semester. The student must have a C or higher average in all courses with no more than 1 disciplinary referral. Applications can be picked up from Ms. Blaylock and are due back by Friday, December 12th.

Please note that there will be no school for students, teachers, and most staff the week of November 24–28.

Additionally, all schools and offices will be closed for the Thanksgiving holiday from Wednesday, November 26 through Friday, November 28. We look forward to welcoming everyone back when we reopen on Monday, December 1.

AVID Elective and Intro to AVID students hosted the It's Spooky to Be Hungry food drive at Schofield. Over 400 items were collected to donate to the Golden Harvest Food Bank! The Advisory class with the most donations celebrated with an ice cream party. Thank you, Schofield Family, for your support with the community service project!

We understand that some of our families, friends, or community members may be facing hardships at this time. We’d like to remind you that Schofield Middle School participates in the Golden Harvest BackPack Program. This program provides school-aged children in need with a bag full of healthy food and snacks.

If you or someone you know could benefit from this program, please feel free to call the school or email me at bblocker@acpsd.net. We can arrange for your student to bring the items home in their backpack or for you to pick them up at the school.

PURPLE UP FOR MILITARY FAMILIES | FRIDAY, NOVEMBER 14

This special day is our way of showing appreciation and support for the incredible military families who sacrifice and serve alongside their loved ones.

Join us in honoring our heroes—both at home and abroad—by wearing purple with pride!

Throughout November, schools across the district are recognizing Veterans Day and the Month of the Military Family with special celebrations and activities to honor the veterans and active-duty heroes in our community and across the country.

Additionally, all middle school students and younger must be accompanied by an adult for entry and throughout the event.

ASA application for the 2026-2027 school year is NOW LIVE! Current 8th grade students who are taking advanced coursework, including English 1H and Geometry H, are eligible to apply. Visit the Future Scholars tab on our website to access the application, along with all the information you need about the application process. Information sessions for interested applicants and parents will be held November 4th, December 11th, and January 7th at ASA.

Community Night at ACCTC Tuesday, October 28 4-7 PM
Schofield Middle School’s Sister 2 Sister Mentoring club will host a Breast Cancer Awareness Walk to support the fight against breast cancer and give back to the community on October 23, 2025 from 4:30-6:30pm. Students, staff, and families will come together to walk in honor of survivors, remember loved ones, and raise awareness about early detection and support.
Proceeds from the event will be donated to both the Sister to Sister organization and the Children’s Hospital.
Vendors are welcome to attend. Please email apate@acpsd.net by 10/21/2025 to be assigned a vendor spot.
Please come out and support Schofield Middle School Sister to Sister Mentoring Group and raise awareness about Breast Cancer.
