It's Picture Time! Underclassmen may now view their photos through Wilson Studios. Scan the attached QR code. It will direct you to enter a contact email address. You will then enter the student ID as the password. The system will then prompt you for more information to view your photo!

If your student id does not work, try your last name and first initial.

As a reminder, next Thursday, September 24th is makeup picture day and the final day for seniors to have their picture taken for inclusion in the yearbook! Mark this on your calendar now!

From September 15 to October 15, Americans observe National Hispanic Heritage Month, a time to celebrate the heritage, history, traditions, and cultural diversity of Hispanic Americans who have greatly contributed in many ways in this country. Their heritage is rooted in Spain and 19 countries and territories: Mexico, Guatemala, Honduras, El Salvador, Nicaragua, Costa Rica, Panama, Colombia, Venezuela, Ecuador, Peru, Bolivia, Paraguay, Chile, Argentina, Uruguay, Cuba, Puerto Rico, and the Dominican Republic.
This heritage month is celebrated mid-September to mid-October to highlight the independence of several countries. September 15 is the day that five Latin American countries celebrate their independence from Costa Rica, El Salvador, Nicaragua, Guatemala, and Honduras. Mexico celebrates its independence on September 16 and Chile on September 18. Also, Columbus Day/Indigenous Peoples Day, or Día de la Raza, in mid-October, falls within this 30-day period.
The national observation began in 1968 as Hispanic Heritage Week under President Lyndon Johnson and was expanded by President Ronald Reagan in 1988 to cover a 30-day period starting September 15 and ending October 15 of each year. It was enacted into law on August 17, 1988.

The NAHS Clay Target Team will host a Range Day at the NWTF Palmetto Range in Edgefield on Thursday, September 24 at 5 PM. The NFL regular season kicks off this weekend and you may see a familiar face from ACPSD!

Drew Stevens (North Augusta Class of '22) makes his NFL kicking debut with the Washington Commanders this Sunday. Drew joined the Commanders following the NFL Draft where he was invited to training camp and made the official 53-man roster.

We are so proud to support Drew as he begins his NFL career and seeing his growth from his time as an ACPSD student-athlete.

ACPSD is excited to offer some wonderful opportunities over fall intersession.

*Aiken High School: Dance (3rd-5th)-8am-1pm
Students will be immersed in creativity, rhythm, and movement while learning dance techniques and choreography. They will explore the dance creation process, build confidence in their performance skills, and develop coordination and teamwork. The dance intersession encourages students to learn new moves, work together, and express themselves through exciting and creative performances.

*Highland Springs Middle: Lego Wars (6th-9th)-8:30am-3pm
Students will be immersed in creativity, the Engineering Design Process, and project design while developing architectural skills to build a strong Lego structure. This year, there is a new challenge in Lego Wars that students must solve, pushing them to think more creatively, work as a team, and apply their engineering skills in exciting new ways.

*Midland Valley High: Pottery (8th-12th)-8:30am-3pm
Students will explore their creativity through hands-on practice while working directly with clay. Throughout the session, students will learn the different techniques needed to shape, mold, and finish their own unique ceramic pieces.

Please note the times and grade levels per group. Seats are limited. Only students that attend a school in the Aiken County School District may attend.

Breakfast and lunch will be served daily. Students may bring their own.

TRANSPORTATION: Transportation will not be provided.
