📚🎉 Lexia Level-Up Celebration! 🎉📚
We’re so proud of our North Aiken Elementary students who have leveled up in Lexia Core5 Reading!
What is Lexia Core5?
Lexia Core5 is an adaptive online reading program that helps students build strong literacy skills in areas such as phonics, vocabulary, fluency, and comprehension. The program meets students right where they are and adjusts in real-time to give them the practice and support they need to grow.
How do students move up a level?
Students complete targeted reading activities at their own pace. When they master a set of skills and show consistent progress, they “level up” — a huge milestone that shows they’re becoming more confident, capable readers! 📖✨
👏 Let’s give a big bear shoutout to our hardworking students for showing focus, persistence, and a love for learning! We can't wait to see even more students level-up in the upcoming weeks!

Club Spotlight
🎨 Culpepper’s Design Lab 🎨
Our Design Lab students explored how digital images can be used in the screen printing process!
Working in teams, students designed logos in Canva, then voted on their favorites. The winning designs were cut out and used to give students hands-on experience with screen printing!
This project tied directly into academics by building skills in technology, math, problem-solving, and collaboration. Students practiced measurement and precision, applied creativity through design, and strengthened critical thinking as they worked together to bring their logos to life. 📚✏️
What an exciting way to connect classroom learning with real-world applications! 🌟

Spotlight on 5th Grade
👏🐻 A huge shout-out to our amazing 5th grade students who have been working so hard in the classroom and beyond!
This quarter, their teachers challenged them to earn 130 points by showing positive behavior in all settings and putting forth the effort needed to be successful in the classroom. 📚 Our students rose to the challenge, and their hard work was rewarded yesterday with a fun trip to Generations Park! We even had a few students earn the maximum amount of points (130) and receive special gift bags from the 5th grade team! 🎉
They enjoyed food, games, and time with their teachers and classmates — a well-deserved celebration of their effort, achievement, and growth. 🌟
We are so proud of our 5th graders and can’t wait to see what challenge awaits them in the second quarter! 💙💛

✨ What an exciting early release day at North Aiken! ✨ Our students spent the morning engaged in meaningful activities: 📝 Red Hall explored future career choices. 📝 Green Hall learned the importance of knowing personal information for safety and forms. 📝 Blue Hall practiced skills that will help them when filling out job applications. We then enjoyed a College & Career Readiness Hour with guest presenters from the Health Education field. 🌟 A huge thank you to our presenters for inspiring our students and sharing your knowledge with us! 🙌 A special highlight of the day—several of our 3rd–5th grade boys participated in a mentoring session focused on goal-setting. Together, they launched their own group and proudly named themselves The Titans! 💪 We closed the day with a celebration of our House system and lessons on Empathy. 💛 Students worked through empathy challenges within their classes and earned Ultra Points for their hard work and teamwork! 🐾 North Aiken students are learning, growing, and leading the way to bright futures! 🌠
