On March 7, 2026, the North Augusts boys' and girls' basketball teams made history with a sweep of the Class 4A state titles. Principal Casey Rogers was thankful to the coaches, students, and community for the support they had given over the past years and stated "it's been a long time coming."
The girls' team secured their victory from Westside High School (Anderson, SC) with a score of 63-50, marking the remarkable seventh state championship title in a single decade! This was followed by the boys' team claiming their victory from South Pointe High School (Rock Hill, SC) concluding with a score of 64-56. This marked the program's first-ever state title.

On April 23, 2026, the North Augusta High School Boys and Girls Basketball teams were recognized during the House of Representatives' General Assembly for their remarkable seasons and winning the 2026 South Carolina High School League AAAA State Championships.
In this recognition the boys' team of Yellow Jackets were congratulated on their first state title in history along with their outstanding season record of 27-3, winning the final 10 games in their season. Head Coach Tony Harrell and his staff were highlighted by the House for their "own skill and passion for the sport to mold a championship-caliber team," noting that "the lessons that they have taught these young athletes will continue to shape them on and off the court."
The Lady Yellow Jackets received a warm congratulations on their feat of claiming their sixth title in nine years. The House proceeded to recognize Head Coach Al Young and his staff for "their own athletic experience and training to forge a championship team and teach these athletes life principles that will endure beyond the courts."
Both teams were presented with a copy of the resolutions and were invited to join elected officials for a photo shoot on the memorable steps of the South Carolina State House.
