The Career Center will be hosting their second annual BioBash this Wednesday, April 23rd from 5:00-7:00. There will be numerous hands-on STEM activities, a STEM escape room, door prizes, and light refreshments. Please share the details of the event with your students and encourage them to attend.


The NAHS Varsity Swim Team is having an informational meeting on May 6th at 4:00pm at Hammond Hills Suburban Club. We would love for any rising 7th -12th graders who are interested in trying out for the Swim Team to join us that day. If you have any questions, you can email Mandy Pond at apond@acpsd.net.


We were thrilled to have an amazing ecologist from Savannah River Ecology Laboratory come to present to our PK students on Thursday We were all on the edge of our seats with excitement!








The gardening class has been busy nurturing and making observations about a variety of crops like potatoes, squash, carrots, tomatoes, sugar sweet peas, corn, and watermelon. We have already sampled strawberries, lettuce, and kale! Healthy eating, healthy life!




Mark your calendars for this year's STEMfest from 4:30-6:30 PM on Thursday, May 8th, 2025. Students can earn extra credit! Food trucks, snacks, games, and prizes!


PK Cheer try-outs for the 25-26 season are here! Clinics start Monday after school, with try-outs on Thursday. It is not too late to grab paperwork, if you are still interested. Paperwork must be turned into Ms. Robinson before clinics begin. Go Patriots!

Come audition for the Spring Talent Show! Audition sign-ups are posted outside Mrs. Parliament's room. Sign up for a time between 3:30 and 5 on Monday, April 21st or 5:30 - 6:30 on Tuesday, April 22nd. Please bring any materials or props you will need to your audition.
Talent Show will be held on Wednesday, May 14th at 5:30 pm. (More details coming later!)

On Thursday March 13th, the 8th grade Orchestra class traveled to Beechwood MS in Lexington to compete at the SCMEA CPA orchestra competition. The students did a fantastic job and received a superior rating with distinction from the judges! Congratulations to these students!



ATTENTION 8th graders --- Junior Leadership Academy (JLA) is a program designed to promote leadership development by helping teens identify their own characteristics, personality traits, and strengths to best understand how they can be successful in any area of their choosing. Attention PK! It is time for the 2nd annual powderpuff game! 7th & 8th grade girls interested in playing must see Ms. Robinson in room 116 for a permission slip. This is a first come, first serve basis, so don't miss out! Permission slips and fees are due March 28th. You must also have no discipline issues from March 17th to April 30th. Any 7th & 8th grade boys interested in cheering during the halftime, must also see Ms. Robinson.

Intersession will take place Monday, March 31 through Thursday, April 3 at Highland Springs Middle School from 8:30-3:00 each day. Students who are currently failing a core content class are invited to attend. Registration must be completed through the registration form located in Parent Portal. Transportation must be requested and received through the registration form by March 18. If you are having trouble locating or filling out the registration form, please reach out to our counselors for assistance.
