Habit Hero's for September

At North Augusta Elementary, we are proud to teach and live by The Leader in Me habits each day. For the month of September, our focus has been on Habit 2: Begin With the End in Mind.

This habit encourages students to have a clear vision for their future by planning ahead, setting goals, and making thoughtful choices. By practicing this habit, students learn to be intentional with their time, responsible in their decisions, and proactive in working toward their dreams.

How We Celebrated 🎉

This morning, each class recognized one student as their September Habit Hero—a leader who demonstrated excellence in planning ahead, setting goals, and showing responsibility. These Habit Heroes were honored at a special celebration, joined by their proud parents. After the program, students enjoyed a sweet treat of doughnuts and juice while celebrating their achievements together. 💛💙

Building the Habit at School and at Home 🏫🏡

  • At School: Students can set daily learning goals, plan steps to complete projects, and think about how today’s choices impact tomorrow’s success.

  • At Home: Families can encourage children to plan their week, set goals for homework or chores, and even practice envisioning long-term goals like saving for a special item or preparing for an upcoming event.

By practicing Habit 2 both at school and at home, our students learn that success doesn’t just happen—it comes from thinking ahead and taking small steps every day toward a bigger goal.

👏 Congratulations to our September Habit Heroes! Thank you for inspiring all of us to Begin With the End in Mind.
