North Augusta Elementary School First Semester Celebration Information

At North Augusta Elementary School, we are proud to celebrate our students’ hard work, positive choices, and commitment to learning! This January, we will hold our First Semester Celebration to recognize students who have met expectations in attendance, behavior, academic growth, and family communication.

What is the First Semester Celebration?

The celebration is a special event designed to reward students for demonstrating the NAUES Dolphin qualities of responsibility, respect, perseverance, and teamwork. Students who qualify will enjoy a surprise celebration filled with fun, recognition, and the chance to feel proud of their accomplishments.

How Do Students Qualify?

To ensure fairness and consistency, NAUES uses the Dolphin Reflection Rubric for Semester 1. This tool evaluates students in four key areas:

  1. Attendance – Being at school regularly to learn and grow.

  2. Behavior – Following rules, showing respect, and making positive choices.

  3. Academic Growth – Working hard, meeting goals, and showing progress in learning.

  4. Family Communication – Engaging families in school life and keeping open lines of communication.

Students who meet the rubric expectations will be invited to the celebration. Some may even earn VIP access for going above and beyond!

How Can Families Help?

We encourage families to review the rubric with their children (see the attachment below). Talking about the expectations helps students set goals and understand the importance of positive habits in school and beyond.

Together, we can celebrate our Dolphins who are dedicated to learning, growth, and success every single day! 💛💙🐬
