North Aiken Elementary is excited to introduce Mrs. Moody, who will be joining our admin team for the 2025-2026 school year. She brings a wealth of knowledge as an educator and leader, with experience as a classroom teacher, lead teacher, CERRA mentor, curriculum developer, and SCTS 4.0 evaluator—as well as nearly five years of administrative experience at the district level supporting Title I, MTSS, ATSI, and Summer Reading Camp initiatives. Mrs. Moody began her career in Lexington School District 2 at Congaree Elementary with a passion for literacy instruction. Alicia’s “why” centers around the belief that when we build strong systems of support, empower and inspire educators, and create meaningful opportunities for students, we truly move from good to better to our very best—and she is thrilled to continue that work alongside the NAiES community she’s proudly supported for the past 3.5 years.

We are ready for SC READY! Please be sure to note the following dates for SC READY and SC PASS testing. May 13 is Writing, May 15 & 16 will be Reading parts A and B. May 20 is Math and May 22 is Science for 4th grade only. There are plenty of ways we can help our students on their way to a successful testing day. Here are some tips that will get your students off on a good start: Get Plenty of rest, maintain your bedtime routines, & limit tv/gaming. Get a good breakfast at home or at school. It’s important to eat before testing! Attendance is important! Missing testing days can put you behind and you will have to make them up. Be at school by 7:30 everyday! Avoid scheduling appointments on testing days. Listen to the teacher instructions and read the directions carefully. Finally, help our students believe in themselves! They have learned so much this year, and we know they can do it!

The flowers Ms. Bacon's class planted in November are now in full bloom, adding vibrant color to our school community gardens. Caileigh's was the first to bloom. It’s amazing to see their hard work come to life, reminding us all of the beauty that grows when we care for our environment together.
