North Aiken Elementary School is excited to continue their partnership with the local chapter of the Butterfly Monarchy Club and North American Butterfly Association.
Their mission is to encourage community involvement and education for the well-being and preservation of all butterflies with special emphasis on Monarchs.
Last year The Butterfly Monarchy Club visited North Aiken. 4K students assisted in planting a donated butterfly garden. A special thank you to the “Butterfly Ladies” Ms Molly (French), Ms Susan (Potter) and Ms Tammy (Cillo) who returned to 5K for several visits to investigate the Monarch Butterfly. Students were full of enthusiasm, curiosity, and interest. We are excited to see the garden bloom again and attract butterflies.
