ATTENTION: Please be aware the only location for students to be dropped off is via the car line in front of the English Wing, adjacent to the Jacket Arena. Parents and Students are not to use the bus loop or adjacent parking lot located behind the cafeteria to pick up or drop off your student. This area is for buses and staff parking only. This has become a major safety concern to all students.
SAT/ACT School Day Test: 3rd year students may participate in either the school day SAT or school day ACT in March of 2025.
The 2025 ACT will be administered on March 11th, 2025.
The 2025 SAT will be administered on March 13th, 2025.
Parents can complete the 2024/2025 Aiken College Entrance Test (ACT/SAT) selection form digitally via the PowerSchool Parent Portal. Please complete this form before the November 1st, 2024 deadline to ensure your student participates in their preferred assessment.

SC PUBLIC SCHOOLS GET NO FUNDING FOR CONSTRUCTION/MAINTENANCE
Upkeep, maintenance, and construction of schools is considered a “local responsibility” in South Carolina. School Facilities are funded locally through voter support of sales taxes and bond referendums.

THE SALES TAX IS A 10-YEAR TAX AND DOESN’T AUTOMATICALLY RENEW.
Aiken County voters will have an opportunity to consider a renewal of the 2014 One Cent Sales Tax on Election Day. If renewed, the One Cent Sales Tax will extend for an additional 10 years and benefit school facility projects listed on the 2024 ballot. If not renewed, the 2014 One Cent Sales Tax will sunset (expire).

BEFORE THE 2014 SALES TAX SUCCESS, IT HAD BEEN 38 YEARS SINCE A SCHOOL REFERENDUM PASSED.
Prior to 2014, 1976 was the year of the last successful referendum benefitting the county's public schools. Without funds available, school maintenance needs were deferred over decades.

The NAHS Beta Club is once again participating in Golden Harvest Food Bank's annual "It's Spooky to Be Hungry" food drive. Please help support the Beta club's mission to help those in need.
In the wake of Hurricane Helene, our neighbors across the region are struggling to rebuild their lives. The storm has left many without basic necessities, and while our community is strong, the need for food and water is more urgent than ever.

NAHS Homecoming will be held on Friday, November 1st with the homecoming dance being held on Saturday, November 2nd. We encourage everyone to come out and show their Jacket Pride as the Jackets take on Midland Valley! The theme for Friday's game is blackout! LET's GO JACKETS!
Parent-Teacher conferences will be held on Monday, October 21st. The conference hours are 10:30 AM - 12:30 PM and then again from 2:00 PM - 6:00 PM. The school will be closed from 12:30 PM - 2:00 PM to allow teachers time for lunch. There is no school for students that day. We look forward to welcoming everyone on Monday!

Attention all prospective Boys Soccer Team players. If you are interested in playing for the high school, please email the coaching staff at boyssoccernahs@gmail.com. In addition, all athletic forms must be turned in on Monday, October 21st between 6:00 and 6:30pm at the North Augusta High Main Office Parking Lot.

Hammond Hills Area families (HHES, PKMS, NAHS):
Thank you for your support and patience as we navigate together the impact of Hurricane Helene.
With power lines, poles, trees and debris on sidewalks and streets in the Hammond Hills neighborhood remaining, we highly encourage families to use the car line for student drop-off whenever possible. If your child must walk to school or the bus stop, we strongly recommend that an adult accompany them.
The combined bus stops impacting Paul Knox Middle and North Augusta High School will continue until further notice. Additionally, we are making the following temporary adjustments to Hammond Hills Elementary walker schedules as well.
To enhance safety,
New Start Time for HHES Walkers: Beginning Wednesday, October 16, we will adjust the start time for HHES walkers by 30 minutes, moving from 7:30 AM to 8:00 AM. This change will allow more daylight for safer navigation to school.
Early Dismissal for HHES Walkers: HHES Walkers will be dismissed 15 minutes early at 2:15 PM to give them a head start before car rider dismissal begins at 2:30 PM, helping them reach home with less traffic.
Regular arrival and dismissal times will resume for all non-walkers.
