The Varsity Blues Invitational is this Friday and Saturday at Lexington High School and White Knoll High School. Tickets are $10 per day per person and will be sold at the entrance to the fields. Come out and support our Lady Jackets!

The school has been allotted a limited number of tickets for Friday's girls and boys varsity 4AAAA Championship Games. Game tickets are $15.00 and will be sold from 10:00 AM until 4:00 PM on Wednesday and from 9:00 AM until 4:00 PM on Thursday at the Jacket Arena Concession Stand. These tickets are available for both students and the community. A single ticket will enable you to see both games. Tomorrow, Wednesday, March 5, there is a threat of severe weather with wind gusts in the morning forecasted to exceed 40 mph. This wind speed exceeds the threshold allowed for school buses to be on roadways. This wind event will result in a need to shift to e-learning tomorrow.
Employees should plan to report to their work location on a two-hour delayed start, with no building or office opening before 10 a.m.
Afterschool extracurricular practices, games, and events will continue tomorrow as scheduled. There will be no QuestZone tomorrow.

Monday is the Final Four! For the first time in NA history, both our teams are vying for Lower State Championship titles! The girls face Lower Richland at 3 PM and the boys tip-off against Wilson at 4:30. Both games are being played at the Florence Center in Florence! Let's Go Jackets!!!
Both of our basketball games will be broadcast today, Monday via Live Radio Coverage on Fox Sports Radio 94.7FM (based in Aiken County) beginning at 2:50PM. The N. Augusta Girls Pregame Show and the coverage is also available worldwide Online (see link below). Charles McNeil, the voice of sports for over 3 decades in the CSRA, will be provide the play-by-play and retired Augusta University Assistant Men's Basketball Coach Lenny Carlson is the color analyst.

For everyone interested in joining the Jackets Elite Dance Team, there will be an interest meeting on Tuesday, March 4 from 5p -7pm in the NAHS Multipurpose Room. This meeting will be for all upcoming freshman through 12th grade.
On Friday, February 28th, North Augusta High School celebrated Black History Month with its annual Black History program. It was held to celebrate the sacrifices and contributions of the many great men and women who have enriched our history. Our guest speaker was Brandon Jamison. Mr. Jamison, a graduate of Denmark-Olar High School and South Carolina State University, spoke to our students about the rich history of black Americans, and encouraged all students to recognize their worth. Students stated how nice it was to have someone that was able to speak to the crowd instead of talking to them! At the end of his presentation, he performed a dance from his fraternity, Omega Psi Phi. The students appreciated his ability to inspire the crowd through his dance with one student stating she believed he did this because so many people change the way they are just to fit in. Through his dance, he showed that anyone can be brave and just be themselves! We thank Mr. Jamison for being a part of this time honored celebration and for inspiring all of North Augusta High School Family!

A special congratulations to Cole Marshall, our #1 seat, who secured one victory for NAHS! While the competition was tough and our team lost the overall match, our team gained valuable experience and is eager to keep growing and improving.
Our Chess Club President, Gabriel Alvarado, was there to cheer on the team, along with supportive faculty, fellow club members, and student families. With such an incredible start, the future of NAHS Chess looks bright!

Every year, Aiken County Public Schools hosts various leaders in the Principal for the Day program. These community members get to walk in the shoes of our principals, experiencing all the successes and challenges they face on a daily basis. On Friday, February 28th, we welcomed Chief Junior Johnson, of North Augusta Public Safety, as our principal for a day.
In addition to working alongside Principal Rogers on the day in and day out activities of being a principal, he also had a chance to experience our Black History Program, interact with our blood drive donors, and even meet with our Yellow Jacket News Crew!
We cannot thank him enough for taking the time to connect with our school and students. A huge debt of gratitude for all Chief Johnson, as well as our SRO's, Officer Johnson and Officer Lebby in keeping all of us at North Augusta High and our community safe.
