Dr. Michelle O'Rourke, Computer Repair and Information Technology Instructor at North Augusta High School, has been awarded a $5,000 K-12 Catalyst Grant from Savannah River National Laboratory (SRNL) on September 8, 2026.
This grant will provide students with access to the CompTIA CertMaster Tech+ curriculum and certification opportunities, helping prepare the next generation of technology professionals through hands-on STEM learning and industry-recognized credentials.
Through North Augusta High School's Computer Repair program, students gain real-world experience repairing and refurbishing devices for schools throughout the district while developing critical skills in hardware, networking, cybersecurity, troubleshooting, and information technology. Over the past five years, the program has certified more than 300 students and supported the repair of over 2,000 laptops for North Augusta area schools.
