🎨💻 It was an exciting day in the Design Lab Clubs for our 4th- and 5th-grade students! Students wrapped up their first challenge by collaborating in groups to create club logos using Canva. After everyone voted, the winning logos were selected! 🗳️✨ Stay tuned to see the final products! 👀

🔵 Learning is taking shape in Mrs. Chiles’s and Ms. Baxley’s 5K class! After learning about 3D shapes, students tried creating their own using marshmallows and pretzel sticks! This hands-on activity gave our little Bears a chance to explore shapes, get creative, and practice their building skills. 💙💛 #NorthAikenElementary #5KLearning #HandsOnLearning

🍎🌋 Science was bubbling with excitement in Ms. G, Ms. Frazier, Ms. Gomillion, and Coach Carr’s 5K students! Students explored chemical reactions by creating volcanoes inside apples! Our young scientists made predictions, followed directions, and watched as baking soda and vinegar combined to create a bubbly “eruption” that flowed out of their apples. 💙💛 It was a wonderful day in the Den! 🎤 We kicked off our news show with a special Hispanic Heritage Month segment featuring Mrs. Henderson’s third-grade class and a spotlight on Celia Cruz! 🎓 Students then joined members of their Houses for College and Career Academy lessons and activities—exploring possibilities and dreaming about their futures! Our teachers wrapped up the day with professional development. 🎨 Mrs. Culpepper welcomed art teachers from across the district into her colorful art studio for hands-on learning and creativity! From celebrating culture to exploring careers and growing as educators, North Aiken was full of learning today! 🐻 Four Houses, One Den. Focused on learning and committed to achievement!

🔴🟡🔵 Happy International Dot Day! 🟢🟣🟠 Earlier this month, our Bear scholars began learning about “making their mark” during Art with Mrs. Culpepper. Today, we continued the celebration by starting our morning news show with a fun challenge—estimating how many dots were in the jar! We enjoyed seeing our students and teachers dressed in their creative dot attire as they celebrated imagination, courage, and creativity. International Dot Day reminds us that everyone has unique talents and the power to make a positive mark on the world! Flyers for the Linda Bright Memorial Pageant will go home tomorrow ! This year’s theme is “Pearls, Dreams & Crowns: A Night Under the Sea,” where every child has an opportunity to shine! ✨

Pageant proceeds will benefit the Linda Bright Memorial Scholarship Fund, our schoolwide House System, and future parenting events.
