WELCOME BACK!!!! I am so excited for this school year. Thank you to everyone that came to Walk the Schedule night!!! It was a huge success.
1st Day of School
July 20th is the first day of school for Leavelle McCampbell Middle School and Aiken County Public Schools. Students may be dropped off beginning at 7:30 AM in front of the cafeteria and school begins promptly at 8 AM. No student should be dropped off before 7:30 AM. Students will receive their Advisory Teacher’s name and room number once they arrive. All students will report to gymnasium and/or cafeteria during morning arrival. Students will be dismissed to their advisory where they will receive their schedule and other important information. No student will be allowed to enter the front entrance without an adult.
Walkers will be dismissed to the cafeteria where they will be escorted to the crosswalk by an adult. Car-riders will be dismissed to the cafeteria at 3:10 PM. Bus riders will be called to the gymnasium when their bus arrives.
Do’s & Don’ts
• Do wear appropriate clothing.
• Don’t wear any shorts, dresses or skirts less than 5 inches above the knee. ALL tops must reach 5 inches above the knee if you are wearing leggings…no exceptions.
• Do bring water bottles to school.
• Don’t bring metal bottles. Please see ACPSD policy on metal cups (including Stanley cups) NO MORE METAL CUPS OR METAL WATER BOTTLES: Please see the statement below from the ACPSD.

In preparation for more frequent Weapons Detection, middle and high school students are asked to refrain from bringing in stainless steel water bottles, metal utensils from home, and scissors. Large metal objects result in positive detection and necessitate a search. The restriction of these items will be mandatory.
• Do bring a positive attitude and a desire to learn.
• Don’t misbehave, the Code of Conduct will be strictly enforced.

Breakfast and Lunch
Free breakfast and lunch are served daily.
Canteen (Tuesday & Thursday)
Canteen items will be sold during lunch beginning next week. Each item is $1.00.
Laptops
Students will receive their school device on Wednesday, July 22nd. Please see the attached Technology User Agreement.
Schedule Concerns
For those students that wish to request a schedule change, forms will be available through Advisory ONLY. Schedule change requests must be turned in no later than Friday, July 24th. Parents must sign the form in order for a request to be considered.

This exciting event will take place on July 18th, 2026, from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM at Roy Warner Park (6021 Roy Warner Park LN, Wagener, SC 29164) to help students kick off the school year with confidence.

Available on a first-come, first-served basis, children can receive free bookbags, school supplies, brand-new outfits, shoes, gift cards, fresh haircuts, professional hair braiding, food, and much more.

PALMETTO CIVICS PROJECT AN INITIATIVE OF THE SC DEPARTMENT OF EDUCATION

Graduation week is here, and we can’t wait to celebrate the Class of 2026 at their commencement ceremonies being held at USC Aiken's Convocation Center!

To help graduation attendees enjoy a smooth, stress-free day, please remember that there will be metal detection upon arrival. We kindly ask that you review the attached graphic for prohibited items, such as bags, balloons, and outside food, so you can leave those items safely in your vehicle before heading to the entrance.

Additionally, because the lobby can become crowded after the ceremony, please plan to meet your graduate outside the venue once the event concludes.

New and Returning Student Registration is underway for the upcoming 2026-27 School Year.

Please take a few minutes to review the registration information at www.acpsd.net/register or go directly to your parent portal in PowerSchool at http://aiken.powerschool.com/public.

For returning students, registration takes just a few minutes through your parent portal account as the student’s existing registration information will pre-populate. Please review and change any information that needs updating and ensure that up-to-date emergency contact information is included for each student.

Registering your student now helps us get ready to welcome your student back after the summer and ensure a smooth start to next school year, allowing teachers and classrooms to be assigned to serve your student on day one.
