Notice of SC READY End-of-Year Testing Dates
Below is the advance notice of the South Carolina End-of-Year SC READY testing dates. State guidelines require schools to inform parents ahead of time so families can be aware of the upcoming assessments and help students prepare.
The SC READY assessments measure student progress in English Language Arts, Mathematics, and Science and help teachers, schools, and the state understand how well students are mastering grade-level standards.
We are sharing the schedule now so families can mark their calendars and help ensure students are present and ready on testing days.
SC READY Testing Schedule for Middle Schools
📅 May 6, 2026 – 6th Grade Science
📅 May 12, 2026 – ELA Writing
📅 May14, 2026 – ELA Reading
📅 May 19, 2026 – Math
All testing will take place during the regular school day.
As testing approaches, families can support their students by helping them get plenty of rest, eating a healthy breakfast, and arriving at school on time.
We appreciate your support as we work together to help our students do their very best!
PALMETTO CIVICS PROJECT AN INITIATIVE OF THE SC DEPARTMENT OF EDUCATION
Families are invited to participate in Summer SC 250 activities as South Carolina prepares to commemorate the 250th anniversary of the American Revolution and our state’s important role in our nation’s history. These summer activities provide meaningful opportunities for students and families to learn, explore, and connect with local and state history. Take part and help celebrate South Carolina’s rich history, heritage, and contributions to our country.
The Palmetto Civics Project is a resource-rich initiative designed to foster students’ understanding of and respect for the institutions that sustain our civic life. Our goal is simple but profound: every South Carolina graduate will leave school prepared to embrace the privileges and the responsibilities of American citizenship.
Please visit SC Palmetto Civics Project to learn more.
