Aiken County Public Schools is proud to welcome Janna Seifert as the Principal of Leavelle McCampbell Middle School for the 2025–26 school year. A product of ACPSD herself, Seifert attended Aiken County Public Schools from first grade through high school graduation and brings with her more than two decades of service in education across multiple states and grade levels.

“This opportunity feels like both a homecoming and a new beginning,” Seifert shared. “As someone who grew up in this district, I am deeply committed to creating a school culture where students feel valued, inspired, and empowered to grow. It’s a privilege to give back to the community that shaped my own educational journey.”

Seifert’s career spans more than 20 years in education, with experience in classrooms and leadership roles across South Carolina, California, and Alaska. She has taught at the elementary, middle, and high school levels and also served as a program manager for Autism Spectrum Disabilities in California. Her leadership background includes assistant principal roles at Wando High School and East Cooper Montessori Charter, as well as district-level positions supporting professional learning, testing, and instructional alignment.

Recognized for her impact in multiple school districts, Seifert has received Superintendent’s High Achiever recognition and served on superintendent-led advisory councils, affirming her reputation as a trusted educator and leader.

She holds dual bachelor’s degrees in Spanish and Education and a Master of Arts in Teaching from the University of South Carolina, along with an Education Specialist degree in Special Education from California State University, Monterey Bay. She is certified as a school administrator in both South Carolina and California.

Seifert is eager to partner with the students, staff, and families at Leavelle McCampbell Middle this year. “This school has a proud history, and I’m excited to build on that foundation while creating new opportunities for growth and success together,” she said.

Outside of school, Seifert enjoys traveling, spending time with her children, and exploring new destinations. She is proud to return to her home district and looks forward to building strong relationships with the Leavelle McCampbell community.
