Here are your weekly updates. Happy Teacher Appreciation Week to all of our LMMS Teachers!

1. Afterschool Program

Boost academic growth with free tutoring!
Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays: 3:30pm - 5:00pm
Open to All Students:
- Special invitations for content recovery (No Summer School this year)
Pick up Registration Forms in the front office. School Bus Transportation is now available.

2. Rising 7th Grade TDap Vaccine Requirement

All students entering 7th Grade are required to have a TDap Booster administered at age 10 or older. Please schedule your appointment now before the summer rush begins.

3. Spring Chorus/Band Concert - Tues, 5/6

Tues, 5/6 - Spring Chorus Concert at 5:30PM, Cafeteria followed by the Spring Band Concert at 7PM in the Gym
- Show your support for our talented chorus and band students as they showcase their musical talents.

4. SC READY State Testing Review - 4/14 - 5/9

Testing season is here, and it’s time to Sharpen the Saw and Put First Things First as we prepare for SC READY! Let’s work together to show what we know and give our best effort. Quick Tips to Review:
- Begin with the End in Mind: Know your goals—focus on the standards and skills we've practiced all year.
- Be Proactive: Take time each night to review notes, complete review packets, and ask questions.
- Seek First to Understand: Pay close attention in class, listen actively, and clarify anything you don’t understand.

6. LMMS PTO Elections for 25-26 School Year:

LMMS PTO are now accepting nominations for membership and officers! Elections will be extended until May 9, 2025. Check your email for an election ballot.

7. Teacher Appreciation Week, 5/5 - 5/9

May 5 - 9 - Show your support by thanking your teacher for their dedication and hard work! We truly appreciate our teachers!

8. Missing/Late Work/Awards Day Cut Off Date

Fri, 5/9: Cut Off Date to determine Honor Roll for Q4 Awards Day to order awards
- Wed, 5/14: Last day to turn in Q4 missing/late work.

9. MLL Parent Night - Thurs, May 15

MLL Parent Night 5PM to 7PM at Byrd Elementary in the Cafeteria
Receive 25-26 registration assistance for returning students and new students. Translators will be available and snacks will be provided. This event is sponsored by Byrd Elementary, Graniteville Elementary, and LMMS

10. Aiken INNOVATE Registration is Open

Aiken iNNOVATE is Aiken County Public School's full-time virtual learning opportunity for eligible students in grades 6 - 12. Visit https://www.acpsd.net/o/ai for more information and to apply for the 25-26 school year.

11. 25-26 ACPSD School Registration for New & Returning Students

25-26 New Student Registration is now open! Families registering a student who will be new to our District for the 2025-26 school year in Kindergarten or any other grade level will need their child’s official birth certificate, South Carolina Certificate of Immunization, and two current proofs of residency. Visit the Registration Hub on our district website at www.acpsd.net/register for more information and to complete online registration.
- Save the Date! Registration for the 24-25 School year will open through PowerSchool Parent Portal on March 25th for Returning Students.
