Mrs. Koon and Miss Watson’s third grade classes have been exploring force and motion in science this past week. Today they built a short ramp, a medium height ramp, and tall/steep ramp to see if the height affected the distance their toy car travelled and if the height affected the speed at which it moved. They discovered that the height of the ramp DOES affect the speed and distance travelled by the car with the steepest ramp having the longest distance travelled and fastest speed of car. This hands on lab was so fun and they can’t wait for their next one! 🚗 💨
