Our school library is a special place where stories come to life, imaginations soar, and learning happens in exciting new ways. While books will always be the heart of our library, students quickly discover that it's so much more than a room full of shelves!

After completing the library lesson each week, students are invited to explore a variety of creative play centers. These hands-on activities give children the opportunity to learn through play, express their creativity, and work together with classmates in a fun, welcoming environment.

Students can choose activities that match their interests, including:

  • Curling up with a good book

  • Drawing and coloring

  • Building with blocks, LEGO® bricks, and Magna-Tiles®

  • Completing puzzles

  • Folding colorful origami creations

  • Designing pixel art

  • And many other engaging, hands-on activities!

These creative centers help students build important life skills such as problem-solving, teamwork, communication, and critical thinking—all while having fun. They also encourage children to make choices, explore new ideas, and discover talents they may not have known they had.

One of the best parts of library time is seeing students excited to create, collaborate, and learn together. Whether they're building an amazing structure, solving a puzzle with a friend, creating a colorful masterpiece, or getting lost in the pages of a great book, every child has the opportunity to grow in a way that's meaningful to them.

Our library is more than just a place to check out books—it's a place where curiosity is celebrated, creativity is encouraged, friendships are formed, and a love of learning continues to grow. We look forward to welcoming our students each week for another library adventure!
