On Friday, August 15, Mrs. Bostedor's class at Jefferson Elementary had an extra special visitor for Fun Friday β€” Cooper, a local therapeutic dog, along with his owner, Casey Mason! Cooper and Mrs. Mason kindly take time to visit the class at least once each semester, spreading joy and comfort to our students.

This visit was even more exciting, as Mrs. Mason donated a copy of her newest book about Cooper to our school library! We’re so grateful for her generosity and continued support of our school community.

The visit began in our newly created β€˜VIP Room’ in the Jefferson Elementary library β€” a sensory-friendly space designed by our librarian, Mrs. Smoak, with our special education students in mind. The room provides a calm, welcoming environment where every student can feel safe and supported.

Thank you, Cooper and Mrs. Mason, for making this Friday truly unforgettable!
